Fortnite’s Winterfest 2025 presents did not stack when players missed a day: Epic’s event rules allowed one present to be opened each day during the limited-time event. Some players objected that the schedule could leave people who were traveling or away for the holidays unable to open every reward. The available sources do not show that Epic removed presents players had already claimed or unopened gifts from their accounts.
What Epic’s Winterfest 2025 rules said
Epic announced Winterfest 2025 would run from December 18, 2025, at 9 AM ET through January 5, 2026, at 9 AM ET. The event featured 14 presents, with one available to open each day and the cabin refreshing daily at 9 AM ET. Epic’s announcement put it plainly: “You can open one present each day.” Epic’s Winterfest 2025 announcement
That schedule made the presents a time-limited opportunity rather than a set players could open whenever they returned. A missed day did not add an extra opening to a later day, according to the rule discussed by players.
Why players objected
Community posts complained that missed openings did not stack, with players pointing to holiday travel, busy schedules, and time away from the game. The concern was practical: someone who could not log in on a given day might miss the chance to open that day’s present. The cited Reddit threads illustrate those reactions, but they are anecdotes—not evidence of how many players missed rewards or how widely the complaint was shared. r/FortNiteBR discussions and r/FortniteFashion discussions

Did Epic take unopened presents from players’ accounts?
The available sources establish that Winterfest had a daily opening limit and a fixed end date. They do not establish that Epic removed presents players had already claimed, or that the company took unopened gifts out of player accounts. Missing an event opening under the daily schedule is not the same as an item being removed from an account.
Epic’s support page about items removed from Fortnite accounts addresses gifted items affected by refunds or payment reversals. It concerns a separate account-item issue and does not explain what happened to unclaimed Winterfest presents. Epic’s account-item removal support page
