If the Red-Eye Assault Rifle’s red dot disappears or looks off-center when you aim down sights (ADS), players have reported similar visual problems—but the available reports do not establish a single cause or a confirmed fix. Check your aiming controls, then document the issue and report it through Epic’s official channels if it persists.
What players have reported
Community posts describe the Red-Eye’s dot disappearing during a match or appearing off-center while aiming. One PC player reported a disappearing dot on December 7, 2022, using Windows 10 and a controller with a GTX 1060, and said the problem was difficult to reproduce. A separate post that day described an off-center dot on Android. On November 20, 2025, a PS4 Pro player reported a missing sight in ranked matches and while spectating.
These are individual accounts, not evidence of how often the problem occurs. The different dates, platforms, and circumstances do not point to one reliable cause; the PS4 Pro post is not confirmation from Epic that a current issue exists.
What to check when the dot is missing
Review aiming controls and canting
Epic’s general aiming guidance explains that canting can let players use scoped weapons like weapons without a scope. Check the aiming controls for your platform and mode, and test whether changing the relevant aiming behavior affects what you see. Canting is an aiming feature, not a verified fix for a missing or displaced Red-Eye dot.

Check mode-specific availability
Weapon availability can vary by mode and loot pool. Epic’s Reload update notes listed the Red-Eye Assault Rifle as unvaulted in that update, but that does not establish that it is available in every mode or in the current loot pool. Confirm that the rifle is available in the mode you are playing before treating an unexpected sight behavior as a general Red-Eye bug.
How to report a reproducible problem
If the sight problem continues, send Epic enough detail to distinguish it from a one-off visual glitch. Record the platform, game mode, date, and steps that reproduce the symptom; a short clip showing the sight before and during ADS can help. Epic directs players to its live-issues guidance and official reporting channels.

- Describe whether the dot vanishes, shifts off-center, or behaves differently in ADS and while spectating.
- Include the mode and platform, plus any aiming-control changes you tested.
- Note whether the problem happens consistently or only intermittently.
