In Fortnite’s Showdown Battle Royale season, players choose Team Foundation or Team Ice King. Epic said the season’s winning team determines which final cosmetic Battle Pass holders unlock: Frost-Ready Foundation or Exalted Frost Ice King. Rivalry wins also earn points for a player’s side and Rival Credits, while the global leaderboard offers cosmetics and a chance at hardware or Fortnite merchandise.
How the Fortnite Showdown team reward works
Epic’s March 19, 2026 announcement said players could join either Team Foundation or Team Ice King. At season’s end, the winning team determines which of two final rewards Battle Pass holders unlock:

Epic did not describe different gameplay benefits or different odds of winning for either team. The choice is about which side to support and which of the two final cosmetics may be unlocked.
How Rivalries earn progress and Rival Credits
Showdown’s Rivalry gameplay has players face off against another player designated as a rival. Winning a Rivalry in a match awards points for the player’s side and Rival Credits. Epic said Rival Credits can be spent on perks, powerful weapons, and XP. The announcement does not specify the number of points or credits awarded per win.

What leaderboard players can earn
Epic listed Kicks, Pickaxes, an Emote, and Emoticons as global leaderboard rewards. It also said leaderboard players could compete for a chance to get one of these prizes:
- NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 Founders Edition graphics card
- PlayStation 5
- Fortnite merchandise
The hardware and merchandise are described as chances to win, not guaranteed rewards for everyone on the leaderboard. Epic’s announcement does not give rank cutoffs, the number of winners or prizes, regional eligibility rules, or fulfillment dates. It therefore does not establish how high a player must place or whether a particular region is eligible.

Battle Pass price and dated launch offer
In its March 19, 2026 announcement, Epic listed the Showdown Battle Pass at 800 V-Bucks or as included with Fortnite Crew, which Epic said instantly unlocked Exalted Ice King. Epic also said that buying the pass before March 26, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. ET would claim the Stealth Tech Foundation bonus Style and accessories. That purchase deadline has passed; it is historical launch-week information, not a current offer.

The March 2026 announcement also described Arenas as coming April 9 as a Ranked, build-only mode, with 1v1 boxfights and 16-player round-robin competition for duos or solos. It named New Sanctuary, Frigid Fortress, and Dark Dominion as locations; Overdrive Grenade and Skyline Deployer as movement items; and Vector 7 DMR, Ice King’s Gauntlets, and Chaos Reloader Shotgun as weapons. These are details from the launch announcement, not confirmation that those features or the season remain available now.
