What changed in Fortnite v20.30?
Epic described the May 3, 2022 Battle Royale update as a fight “for the fate of towers,” with space weapons and the return of the Choppa. Its central Battle Royale changes were the new conflict at Tilted Towers, temporary Star Wars items, and the return of helicopters. The update also included shotgun adjustments and a new way to browse games by genre. (Epic’s v20.30 announcement)
The battle moves to Tilted Towers
After the Resistance victory at Rocky Reels, the conflict shifted to Tilted Towers. Huntmaster Saber was stationed aboard the IO Blimp there. At Rocky Reels, players could contribute to funding stations for an Armored Battle Bus and turrets; the Choppa used separate funding stations at Seven Outposts.
Choppas return through funding
Players funded Choppas at Seven Outposts. Once a Choppa was fully funded, it could be used to fly across the map. Choppas were excluded from competitive playlists.

Epic applied the v20.30 shotgun changes across Battle Royale/Zero Build and Creative, with mode restrictions varying by change. The stated adjustments were:

- The Striker Pump and Auto Shotgun received higher pellet damage and headshot damage.
- The Ranger and Drum Shotguns received higher headshot damage; their base pellet damage did not change.

No. Epic’s official v20.30 Battle Royale and Creative announcements, along with its Omega Knight and Anime Legends announcements, do not confirm a Fall Guys collaboration as part of the update.
