Epic’s May 16, 2025 v35.10 notes cover Fortnite’s creator ecosystem: UEFN, Creative, Verse, LEGO Islands and The Walking Dead Universe islands. They are not a complete patch list for Battle Royale or every Fortnite mode.
What v35.10 added for creators
Gunfight 2v2 UEFN example template
Epic’s featured addition is a Gunfight 2v2 example template for Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN), designed as a starting point for first-person shooter gameplay using the First-Person Camera. It includes Verse examples for dynamically balancing teams and granting weapons, plus guidance for building multiple distinct play areas on one island and shifting the action between them over successive rounds. The playable template code is 5043-2939-1074. Read Epic’s v35.10 ecosystem release notes.

The Walking Dead Universe island publishing
Publishing for The Walking Dead Universe (TWDU) islands opened on May 16, 2025, at 12 PM ET. Creators submit islands through Creator Portal content review. Epic said the islands would be highlighted in Discover, including a dedicated Game Collections slot, while Skybound would curate a TWDU Picks row. Eligible islands could also receive additional Discover placement, including Epic’s Picks. The notes also mention a quest encouraging players to explore the islands.

What these patch notes do—and do not—cover
The official page is titled “35.10 Fortnite Ecosystem Updates and Release Notes” and is dated May 16, 2025. Its scope is creator tools, Creative and island content; it should not be treated as a complete list of Battle Royale or all-mode gameplay changes. For the documented creator-facing changes, consult Epic’s official v35.10 release notes.
