A Valentine’s-themed Fortnite outfit was reported as a possible v39.40 release, but the leak was not an official reveal. Epic Games confirmed Valentine’s content for its 2026 Love & Legends period; its announcement did not identify the survey outfit described in leak coverage.
Was the Fortnite Valentine’s Day 2026 skin confirmed?
No. TechWiser and VICE reported a possible Valentine’s Day “Survey Skin,” but those reports attributed the claim to leak coverage rather than Epic Games. Epic’s February 5, 2026 Love & Legends announcement confirmed the event and specific Valentine’s content, but did not name or confirm the rumored outfit.

The distinction matters: confirmation of a Valentine’s event does not confirm every cosmetic rumored to be part of it. The sources reviewed do not establish an official name or final design for this particular skin.
What did the rumored skin look like?
In its January 31 report, TechWiser described the reported survey concept as a female outfit with a cropped top, ripped shorts and bright red boots, alongside a heart-shaped grenade. That is TechWiser’s account of leak coverage—not an official Epic description or confirmation that those details would appear in a released cosmetic.

When was the Valentine’s skin supposed to come out?
Leak reports associated the outfit with Fortnite’s v39.40 update cycle, but did not establish a specific release date. VICE’s February 2 roundup listed a “Valentine’s Day Event Skin (Survey Skin)” and said its exact release date was unclear. Being linked to an update cycle does not mean a cosmetic is available on update day.
Epic’s official Love & Legends post was published February 5, 2026. It confirmed a wider event period, but did not say when—or whether—the particular survey outfit would be released. The event dates are now historical.

What Valentine’s content did Epic confirm?
Epic’s February 5 announcement named several pieces of content for the Love & Legends period. These confirmed details are separate from the unconfirmed survey-skin rumor:
- Heartie Back Bling: Players could collect Candy Hearts across matches to unlock it. Epic set the collection deadline at February 23, 2026, at 9 AM ET.
- Login rewards: Epic said the rewards were available through February 19, 2026, at 4 AM ET.
- Valentine’s loot: The announcement named the Lock On Assault Rifle and FlowBerry Mist Grenade.
- Shop outfits: HUNTR/X outfits based on their “Golden” looks were announced for the Shop, along with Jinu and a Demon Jinu alternate Style.
These are the event details Epic did identify; the announcement did not connect them to the rumored survey outfit.

How much did the rumored skin cost?
No price is established in the reviewed reports or Epic’s announcement. They also do not confirm a purchase route or present-day Shop availability for this specific outfit. A price or claim that it was sold in the Shop would go beyond what these sources establish.
