Fortnite Winterfest 2024 began on December 20, 2024. Epic Games confirmed the event was live that day, but its announcement did not specify an exact start hour. Game8 reported 3 PM ET; Beebom reported 9 AM ET, so the precise time is disputed.

What time did Winterfest 2024 go live?
There is no exact start hour confirmed in Epic’s announcement. Two contemporaneous guides gave conflicting times:
| Source | Reported start | Qualification |
|---|---|---|
| Game8 | 3 PM ET on December 20, 2024 | Secondary report; the guide was updated at 3:42 PM that day. |
| Beebom | 9 AM ET on December 20, 2024 | Conflicts with Game8’s reported time. |
Both times are reported in Eastern Time. Since the sources disagree and Epic did not publish an hour, 3 PM ET is best treated as a contemporaneous report, not an officially confirmed start time.

What was included in Winterfest 2024?
During the event, players could open the Snowflake tab from the Lobby of any Fortnite experience to visit the Winterfest Cabin and claim a present. Epic said a new present was available daily through January 7. The event also brought a snow-covered Battle Royale island, the Blizzard Grenade and other festive in-game content. Epic noted that items in presents were not exclusive to Winterfest 2024 and might later be available in the Shop.
