What was the Fortnite Winterfest free skin giveaway?
Winterfest 2025 was a limited-time Fortnite event in which players could open presents in the Winterfest cabin. Epic announced 14 presents, with one present available to open each day. The cabin refreshed daily at 9 AM ET. Not every present was an outfit.
Two outfits had specific unlock requirements:
- Glacial Dummy Outfit: became available after opening seven other presents.
- Cheeks Outfit: became available after opening 13 other presents.
The remaining presents could be opened in any order. These details apply to the 2025 event, not a confirmed future Winterfest promotion. Epic’s Winterfest 2025 announcement has the event’s official details.
When did Winterfest 2025 end?
Epic scheduled Winterfest 2025 from December 18, 2025, at 9 AM ET through January 5, 2026, at 9 AM ET. The event is over; its presents are no longer available through that promotion.

How to verify a Fortnite free-item offer
Epic says free items may be earned through in-game challenges, free Battle Pass content, and securing an account with two-factor authentication. Some cosmetics are available only during a specific season. For a new offer, verify it through the Epic Games Store or Epic’s official websites and social channels. Be cautious of suspicious external claims offering free games or V-Bucks.
