Fortnite’s Godzilla and Kong crossover was part of update v33.20, announced by Epic Games on January 16, 2025. Its Battle Royale portal event and Godzilla Battle Pass quests were limited-time features; the quest deadline was February 21, 2025, and has passed. This is a guide to what the update included, not a claim that its event or offers are active now.
How the Godzilla event worked in Battle Royale
Starting January 17, 2025, a special portal could appear on the Battle Royale map. The first player to find and enter it transformed into Godzilla; only one player per match could become the titan. Everyone else could fight Godzilla and target its weak spots. Epic’s January 16, 2025 announcement described the event and its mechanics.
Godzilla’s abilities and rewards
- Roar: revealed nearby players.
- Mighty Stomp Attack: launched players.
- Heat Ray: damaged players and structures.
- Fragments: consuming one restored 40 Health and granted 3 dash charges.
- Top damage reward: the player who dealt the most damage to Godzilla received the Godzilla Medallion, which provided a recharging dash ability, and the exotic Burst Quad Launcher.
These describe the announced 2025 event, not current Battle Royale mechanics.
How to unlock the Godzilla skin—and when the quest ended
Owners of the Chapter 6 Season 1 鬼 HUNTERS Battle Pass could unlock the Godzilla Evolved Outfit by completing its quests, which began January 17, 2025. Epic set the deadline at February 21, 2025, at 2 AM ET. That deadline has passed, so the quests are not a current way to unlock the outfit.

The official announcement establishes when the portal event and Battle Pass quests were available, and the vehicle page gives a past purchase cutoff for that bundle. Those sources do not establish that the limited-time event, quests, or Shop offers are active now, or that any of the items will return. Treat the details above as an archive of the 2025 crossover rather than current availability guidance.
