Fortnite’s Simpsons season launched on November 1, 2025, with an 80-player Battle Royale map called Springfield Island. It is a past season, not Fortnite’s current or upcoming season. The event brought familiar Springfield locations, themed items and animated shorts into Fortnite; Epic and Disney later reported that more than 80 million players took part.
What was Fortnite’s Simpsons season?
Epic Games presented Springfield Island as “a fast-paced, back-to-basics Battle Royale experience straight from the minds behind The Simpsons.” The season also featured Simpsons weapons in Delulu, seasonal gags and gadgets, and animated shorts. Its Springfield Battle Pass included premium outfits for Homer, Marge, Flanders, Blinky Fishstick and Springfielder Peely. Epic’s launch announcement introduced the season on November 1, 2025.
The season’s animated shorts were scheduled for release in both Fortnite and Disney+: “Apocalypse D’Oh” on November 1, “Sugar High” on November 10, “Multiplidiocy” on November 17 and “The Incredible Bulk” on November 24, 2025. These were launch-period releases, not a continuing schedule.
Which Springfield locations were on the island?
Epic’s Springfield Island map guide named six locations and described landmarks and activities associated with them. These are details reported by Epic’s guide, not independent gameplay observations.

How many people played the season?
Epic and Disney each reported more than 80 million players, but their published play-hour totals differ. Epic’s June 18, 2026 season retrospective reported over 750 million hours. Disney’s June 17, 2026 announcement reported 780 million hours. The cited announcements do not explain the difference, so the figures should be understood as separate claims from each publisher rather than a single reconciled total.
Disney also said the animated short accompanying the launch reached No. 1 on Disney+ Top 10 Today in the United States. That ranking is Disney’s own report, published in 2026.

Can you still claim the season’s limited-time rewards?
No. Epic promoted a Kang and Kodos Glider for linking Epic and MyDisney accounts and a Twitch Drop wrap for watching Fortnite-category streams. The account-link extension ended April 29, 2026, and the Twitch Drop window was November 1–2, 2025. Those claim periods have passed; the launch announcement does not indicate that the rewards remain available.

In June 2026, Disney announced that The Simpsons had joined Fortnite’s IP Partner Program and that an official toolkit was planned for Fortnite developers. The announced toolkit, being developed with Disney, 20th Century Studios and Gracie Films, is intended to let creators use Simpsons characters and locations in UEFN-ready experiences. Disney described it as coming later in 2026, but the announcement gave no confirmed launch date, signup link, commission or creator-program terms. The announcement therefore does not establish that the toolkit is available now.
