If you do not, the supported route is to find a physical Xbox copy; Playground Games says discs bought after delisting still work and can use online features.
What happened to Forza Horizon 4?
Playground Games announced on June 25, 2024 that Forza Horizon 4 would be removed from the Microsoft Store and Steam on December 15, 2024, citing licensing and agreements with partners. The game also left Xbox Game Pass on that date. Its downloadable content had already been removed from digital stores on June 25, 2024; the Standard, Deluxe, and Ultimate editions remained available until the final delisting date. Some Xbox product pages may still appear in search or remain accessible after delisting. A surviving page describes the game and its bundle, but does not establish that a new digital purchase is available. The publisher’s delisting announcement is the clearest source for official digital-sale status.
Where can you get Forza Horizon 4 now?
If you already own the digital game
Sign in with the Microsoft or Steam account that purchased the game and check its game library for the download. Playground Games says existing owners can continue to download and play the game and content they own, including offline, online, and multiplayer features. The entitlement is tied to the account that owns it.

If you do not own it
Look for a physical Xbox copy, commonly sold as an Xbox One disc. Playground Games says physical copies bought after delisting still work and can use online features. Xbox lists the game for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. Before buying, confirm that your console has a disc drive: Xbox Series S models are digital-only, so they cannot play a disc.

No current key offer, region restriction, seller term, or successful activation was verified. A key marketplace is not an official Microsoft Store or Steam route, and activation should not be assumed. If considering a key, check that it is for the platform and region you need, confirm the edition, and review the seller’s refund policy.
Will the Xbox disc work on Xbox Series X?
Xbox lists Forza Horizon 4 as playable on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, and Playground Games says physical copies continue to work after delisting. A disc requires a console with a disc drive; an Xbox Series S cannot use one. Xbox’s product page lists the supported platforms and features: Forza Horizon 4 Standard Edition on Xbox.

Can you still play online?
Delisting did not itself end the game’s online features. Playground Games says existing owners and people using physical copies can access online and multiplayer features. Xbox lists single-player, online co-op, and online multiplayer. For console online multiplayer, Xbox says an Xbox Game Pass Essential, Premium, or Ultimate subscription is required; that is separate from owning the game.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What about editions and included content?
The Xbox Standard Edition listing describes its digital bundle as including the full game and Formula Drift Car Pack. That listing is useful for understanding the bundle and supported platforms, but it is not proof that the digital edition remains on sale. Since the downloadable content left digital platforms on June 25, 2024, do not assume that a newly found disc or resale listing includes every add-on; confirm exactly what is included and whether any content is already associated with the account.
