Forza Horizon 5 launched on PS5 on April 29, 2025. Players who preordered the Premium Edition could start playing earlier, from April 25. The game is now available through the PlayStation Store.
When did Forza Horizon 5 come out on PS5?
The general PS5 release date was April 29, 2025, for the Standard and Deluxe Editions. Premium Edition preorder access began April 25, 2025. Playground Games first announced the PS5 version for spring 2025 on January 30, then confirmed the dates in March.

Playground Games’ April 24 timing announcement set both unlocks for 12:01 a.m. local time. In all US territories, the stated unlock time was 12:01 a.m. EST. These are the original launch times, not an upcoming release schedule.
What was included in the PS5 release?
Playground Games said the PS5 version had the same content as the Xbox and PC releases. Panic Button developed the PS5 version with Turn 10 Studios and Playground Games. At launch, players could buy the game editions, the Premium Add-Ons Bundle, and the Hot Wheels and Rally Adventure expansions.

The PlayStation Premium Edition page lists the base game, both expansions, 42 Car Pass cars, VIP Membership, and Welcome Pack perks. The official sources establish PlayStation Store availability; they do not establish a physical PS5 disc edition.
Can PS5 players cross-play with Xbox and PC?
Yes. Playground Games announced cross-play between PS5, Xbox consoles, and PC. The PlayStation Store listing says a Microsoft account is required for cross-platform play. It also says online features require a PlayStation account and persistent internet connectivity. Store terms note that features and online services may vary by country and may change or be retired.
