Playground Games announced the Xbox and PC launch date on January 22, 2026, and said the PS5 version would follow later that year. Its current game page says the game is playable now on Xbox Series X|S and PC and still lists PS5 as coming later in 2026. Read the launch announcement and check the official game page.
What the PS5 release date means
“Later in 2026” is the official timing; it is not a specific month or day. The Forza FAQ says PS5 players can wishlist the game on the PlayStation Store to receive availability notifications, but the official information reviewed does not establish when that release will happen. Treat any more specific date that is not announced by Forza as unconfirmed.

What to expect from Forza Horizon 6
The game is set in Japan and centers on exploration and Festival racing, with solo and cooperative play and Tokyo City among its locations. Playground Games said the launch roster would include more than 550 cars to collect and customize; that is the developer’s published launch figure, not an independently audited count or a statement of the current roster. The official game page also describes steering animations with up to 540 degrees of wheel rotation; that feature description does not mean a particular racing wheel is required.
