What are the reported “Drive the World” trademarks?
Insider Gaming reported on October 5, 2026, that Lighthouse Games had recently filed European Union trademarks for “Ignition: Drive the World” and “Wonderland: Drive the World.” The report notes game-related classifications 09 and 041. Those filings could be connected to the studio’s new game, but trademark wording and classifications do not establish what the product is or how it will play. Insider Gaming’s report links to registry pages; the application numbers, filing dates, ownership records, and current status have not been independently verified here.
For now, “Drive the World” is best understood as wording in reported filings, not a confirmed game title. The official Lighthouse Games site describes the studio’s project as a new IP but does not confirm either phrase as its final name.
Who is Gavin Raeburn?
Raeburn founded Lighthouse Games in 2022. The studio’s official founder page identifies him as a founder of Playground Games and a creator of the Forza Horizon series. That background explains why the reported filings have drawn attention from racing-game fans.

Insider Gaming, citing a GamesIndustry interview, reports Raeburn saying: “There is one game really that’s the biggest fish in the pond and that’s Horizon. That’s the game we have to beat,” Insider Gaming. The remark describes an ambition, not a confirmation that the new game will share Horizon’s exact format or features.
What is known about Lighthouse’s game—and what is not?
The official Lighthouse material reviewed establishes that the studio is developing a new IP; it does not establish a final public title, detailed gameplay premise, platforms, release date, or publishing partner. The reported trademarks do not fill in those gaps. Until Lighthouse makes an announcement, descriptions of the project as an open-world racer or a direct Forza Horizon rival should be treated as speculation.

How does it differ from CLUTCH and Forza Horizon 6?
Two other racing-game names help put the story in context, but neither should be confused with Lighthouse’s reported trademarks.
| Game or project | What is confirmed | Platforms and timing |
|---|---|---|
| Lighthouse Games’ new IP | New IP described by Lighthouse; “Ignition: Drive the World” and “Wonderland: Drive the World” are reported trademark filings, not confirmed game titles. Final title, gameplay, and publisher are not established in the official material reviewed. | Not stated in the official material reviewed. |
| CLUTCH (Maverick Games) | Announced as a separate racing project by publisher Focus Entertainment. Its premise combines professional motorsport by day with underground racing, reputation, and pursuit by night, plus vehicle customization. | PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC; planned for Spring 2027, according to Focus Entertainment’s August 24, 2026 announcement. |
| Forza Horizon 6 | The established Horizon comparison point: Microsoft described it as an open-world driving game set in Japan. | Steam lists a May 18, 2026 release date. Microsoft’s earlier launch announcement said Xbox Series X|S and PC would launch first, with PlayStation 5 to follow post-launch. See the Steam publisher listing and Microsoft’s announcement. |
Focus Entertainment quoted Maverick Games founder and CEO Mike Brown describing CLUTCH as “the open-world racing experience we’d dreamed about for years.” That is a statement about Maverick’s project, not Lighthouse’s. Microsoft also announced a Forza Horizon 6 gameplay showcase in January 2026 in Xbox Wire.

Why the trademark story matters
The news is notable because a studio led by a creator of Forza Horizon appears to be preparing a new IP, and Raeburn has publicly framed Horizon as the competitor to beat. But the filings themselves reveal little about the game. A confirmed name, concrete gameplay details, and launch information will need to come from Lighthouse or another official announcement; until then, the trademarks are a clue, not a reveal.
