Its official title is Forza Motorsport, and it launched worldwide on October 10, 2023. There is no separate upcoming release date announced for a game officially titled “Forza Motorsport 8.”
Why it is not officially called Forza Motorsport 8
Turn 10 Studios left the number out of the title because it designed the game as an evolving racing platform. Dan Greenawalt, General Manager of Forza Motorsport at Turn 10 Studios, explained: “It’s due to this shift that we didn’t need a number in the title; we created a platform.” Xbox Wire

Platforms and launch content
Xbox lists the game for Xbox Series X|S and Windows 10/11. Forza’s launch announcements also named Microsoft Store and Steam distribution, Xbox Game Pass access, and cloud gaming. Subscription catalog availability and terms can change, so check the current Game Pass listing for your region.

At launch, Forza described Builders Cup as its single-player career mode, Featured Multiplayer as online competition organized around race weekends, and Free Play as a mode for creating races.
