It also changed Career access, multiplayer events, Rivals, Meetups and wheel mapping. Update 21 also opened all Builders Cup Tours immediately, broadened Open Class Tour and Open Division Rivals, added Meetups, changed Private Multiplayer setup, and reorganized Featured Multiplayer.
What cars came with Update 21?
The Showroom gained the 2025 Chevrolet IndyCar and 2025 Honda IndyCar. Turn 10 said both were permanently available to buy with in-game Credits. The launch announcement also offered a discount through July 2, 2025; that was a time-limited offer and has expired.

How did Update 21 change Career, Rivals and multiplayer?
Career and car-building challenges
- Builders Cup: All Tours were unlocked immediately, removing the requirement to finish Modern Tour before accessing the other three. Select series also gained eligible cars and post-launch tracks.
- Open Class Tour: Expanded to include every class from E and D through P and X. Completing every series awarded the 2024 Nissan Z NISMO, according to Turn 10.
- Open Division Rivals: A new category challenged players to build high-performing production-division cars within Performance Index limits.
Hosted races and open track sessions
- Private Multiplayer: Hosts could manually adjust the starting grid using Event Setup > Rules > Adjust grid before race.
- Meetups: Three additions were Fujimi Kaido Track Day, Top Speed Track Day and Cycled Ovals Track Day.
Featured Multiplayer, balance and interface
Featured Multiplayer was reorganized into categories including Featured, Spec Events and the new Semi-Open Events, with rotating series and car-building themes. Turn 10 also changed Balance of Performance specifications for Forza GT2, Forza GT3, Forza Touring Car and Forza Proto-H, drawing on Forza Insiders input, and reorganized the Challenge Hub.
Turn 10 reported fixes to single-player AI behavior and competitiveness, plus a fix for an incorrect mapping profile assigned to Fanatec DD2 users. The notes establish a mapping-profile correction; they do not establish a universal improvement in wheel performance.

What did Hotfix 21.2 change?
Turn 10’s June 30, 2025 Hotfix 21.2 notes describe a server-side update that required no download. It made the ABCS Multi-Class Series permanent in Semi-Open Events, using a static playlist; other multi-class events were removed from that rotation. It also removed oval circuits from track voting in Cycled Track Day Meetup, without changing the dedicated Ovals Meetup.
- Fixed an Open Class Tour issue that could send players into a replay loop.
- Fixed a Career issue where Drivatar cars did not display custom player liveries when the relevant setting was enabled.
These follow-up changes mean the original Update 21 multiplayer description should not be read as a complete account of the later live configuration.

Which Update 21 feature should you try first?
The best starting point depends on what kind of racing you want; these are groupings of the announced features, not rankings based on comparative testing.
- Structured solo progression: Start with Champions Cup for racecar-focused Tours, Invitationals and reward cars.
- Open-wheel online racing: Look for the IndyCar Series in Featured Multiplayer, while keeping in mind that event rotations change.
- Building and tuning: Try Open Division Rivals to develop a production-division car within PI limits.
- Less structured track time: Join a Meetup for open track activity.
- Custom hosted races: Use Private Multiplayer’s grid adjustment to set a preferred starting order.
Did Update 21 make every car cheaper?
No. Turn 10 said 162 cars—87% of the racecars affected by Update 21 price adjustments—had their prices reduced. That figure applies only to the affected group, not every car in the game. The announcement does not establish that all other cars increased in price.
