Forza Motorsport Update 9 added Sebring International Raceway, a new Endurance Tour and rotating multiplayer endurance races, plus track adjustments and other changes. Turn 10 announced the update on June 10, 2024; its Porsche 963 bundle was free only during a redemption window that ended June 19, 2024.
When did Forza Motorsport Update 9 come out?
Turn 10 Studios said Update 9 began rolling out June 10, 2024, at 10:00 AM PT (5:00 PM UTC) for Xbox Series X|S and PC through Microsoft Store and Steam. The Spotlight cars and new in-game events started later, on June 12 at 5:00 PM PT (12:00 AM UTC on June 13). Turn 10’s announcement and its Update 9 release notes framed the release around endurance racing.

Did Update 9 add Sebring?
Yes. Sebring International Raceway returned with two layouts: the 3.74-mile Full Circuit and the 2-mile Short Circuit. Turn 10 describes the Florida track as a former World War II airfield that opened as a circuit in 1950, with uneven asphalt and old concrete runway surfaces. The release notes put the challenge plainly: “Sebring International Raceway, one of the oldest operating racetracks in the United States, returns to Forza Motorsport to test players with rough, bumpy, and changing surfaces.”
What endurance racing did the update add?
Career: Endurance Tour
The Endurance Tour had four Showcase Series: Pinnacle Endurance, Retro Endurance, Global Endurance, and Classic Endurance. Each series was split into two car classes, with a Spotlight car and a 45-minute race in each class. Completing the tour awarded the 1988 Nissan #24 Nissan Motorsports International R88C. Its advertised completion deadline was July 24, 2024, so this was a limited-time event, not a current career schedule.

Featured Multiplayer: Endurance Series
Featured Multiplayer rotated a different Endurance Series division each week from June 12 through July 10, 2024. Races ran up to one hour, making pit stops, tire compounds, and fuel part of the strategy. Turn 10 also announced that 30-minute races would be added to Forza Touring Car and Forza GT rotations alongside Short, Medium, and Long formats. Those dates and schedules describe the 2024 rollout, not the current multiplayer calendar.
Was the Porsche 963 free?
Only for a limited period. The Porsche 963 Combo contained the 2024 Porsche #5 Porsche Penske Motorsport 963 and a custom Porsche Racing Suit. Turn 10’s free redemption window ran from June 10, 2024, at 10:00 AM PDT through June 19 at 4:59 PM PDT. The announcement listed prices after that window as USD $4.99, GBP £3.99, EUR €4.99, and CNY ¥19.00, and said the bundle was not included in the Car Pass or Standard, Deluxe, or Premium editions. Those are historical terms; the announcement does not establish current store availability or pricing.

What else changed in Update 9?
Track updates
- Laguna Seca: The pitlane exit was changed to match its real-world location, and corrupt ambient occlusion in some track areas was fixed.
- Nürburgring Nordschleife: Curbing was adjusted for 2024 accuracy; some flags were removed and speaker poles added. Leaderboards for the affected Laguna Seca and Nordschleife layouts were reset to accommodate the changes.
Events, practice, and fixes
The Open Class Tour was refreshed with B, A, S, and R class opponents. Completing it before July 10, 2024, awarded the 1970 Chevron B16. Spotlight cars had temporary in-game credit discounts, with additional discounts and events for VIP members; those offers belonged to the 2024 event period.
Update 9 shortened Featured Multiplayer practice lengths and included fixes for clipping in the 1988 Lamborghini Countach LP5000 QV cockpit at a specified field of view; missing or misplaced parts on the 1963 Shelby Monaco King Cobra; a missing Forza P3 thumbnail; pink glass reflections at Maple Valley and Mid-Ohio; and the Mobil 1 decal. At the time, Turn 10 said PC shift-timing differences and matte decals on some shared liveries were still under investigation; that statement does not establish their current status.
