Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFor solo play, start with Genshin Impact if you want a large world to explore; choose Zenless Zone Zero for focused urban action missions; and consider Honkai: Star Rail for a space-fantasy journey across worlds. “Best” depends on the loop you enjoy. Solo activity does not necessarily mean offline play, and all three games have optional in-game purchases.
How to choose the best gacha RPG for solo play
Compare the games by what you want to do moment to moment: roam through a broad world, take on action-focused missions, or follow a story across space-fantasy settings. Also check online requirements and decide how you feel about optional gacha spending. The available platform descriptions do not establish a reliable ranking of free currency, banner odds, time demands, or solo-player satisfaction.
Genshin Impact: best for exploration and a broad world
Genshin Impact is the clearest pick if you want to explore largely on your own. PlayStation describes it as an open-world adventure and says, “Travel alone or hunt together.” It highlights a roster of characters with different playstyles, plus abilities tied to seven elements that can be used in combat and environmental puzzles. PlayStation’s Genshin Impact page presents solo play and inviting friends as alternatives.
Xbox also labels the game as single-player as well as online multiplayer for 2–4 players, and lists it as free-to-play. That supports the idea that you can play alone, but it is not evidence that the game can be played offline. Xbox’s listing describes its platform capabilities.

Choose Zenless Zone Zero if you would rather take on action-centered commissions than roam a sprawling fantasy landscape. PlayStation describes an urban fantasy setting in New Eridu, where players explore Hollows, fight enemies, complete commissions, and uncover mysteries. Its page characterizes the combat as accessible to newcomers while offering strategic depth. PlayStation’s Zenless Zone Zero page outlines that setting and activity.

Steam labels the game free-to-play and single-player, with in-app purchases. Its combat description names attacks, special attacks, dodges, blocks, and combos, with enemy weaknesses influencing decisions. Those details make it a strong fit for players seeking action combat and missions, but they do not establish that its sessions are shorter than those in the other games. Steam’s listing provides the platform labels and combat overview.
Honkai: Star Rail: best for a space-fantasy journey
Honkai: Star Rail is the space-fantasy choice: its PlayStation listing describes traveling across the galaxy aboard the Astral Express, visiting new worlds, meeting companions, and following a story. The same listing says online play is required. PlayStation’s Honkai: Star Rail listing supports that premise and online requirement.

- ESCAPE THE DUNGEON, SOLVE THE MYSTERY: Dungeons and Dragons: Bedlam in Neverwinter offers all of the excitement of the beloved D and D game in one epic adventure, told in a 3-part escape room board game
- 3-IN-1 D and D COOPERATIVE MYSTERY GAME: Players join forces to investigate a series of alarming disappear-ances. Work together to track down clues and solve the mystery at the end of each act. For 2-6 players
- CREATE CHARACTERS, BATTLE MONSTERS: Choose a Race, Class, and Starting Weapon to create your character. Then collect loot and battle D and D monsters on the hunt for an evil mage and his dangerous cult
- SOLVE FANTASTICAL PUZZLES: Don’t split the party. Work together to decipher puzzles, from wordplay problems to multi-card visual riddles. Solve them to unlock new items, locations, and clues
- DYNAMIC GAMEBOARD: Players move their figures around the board exploring Neverwinter. The board builds and changes, revealing mysterious places and clues as players solve puzzles that unlock locations
The listing does not provide enough detail to compare its full combat loop or multiplayer requirements with the other two games. Choose it for the stated inter-world, story-led premise rather than an unsupported claim that it is the easiest, most generous, or most solo-friendly option.
Can you play these games alone or offline?
Solo play and offline play are different questions. The available platform descriptions support solo activity for Genshin Impact and Zenless Zone Zero, while the reviewed Honkai: Star Rail listing explicitly requires online play. None of these details justifies promising that a game works offline. For Genshin, Xbox lists single-player alongside online multiplayer, while PlayStation describes traveling alone; check the requirements for your own platform and region before installing.

What free-to-play means for gacha spending
Free-to-play does not mean that every character or item is guaranteed without spending. The PlayStation Store disclosure for Genshin Impact says: “This game includes optional in-game purchases of virtual currency that can be used to acquire a random selection of virtual in-game items.” The PlayStation Store product page contains that disclosure.
HoYoverse’s Help Center lists official top-up centers for Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail, and Zenless Zone Zero, and advises users to select the correct server and account. The article was updated August 26, 2025. HoYoverse’s top-up guidance covers those games.

- Miniature version of the Jumanji game board.
- Lights and Sounds! Open the board to see the center disc glow and hear the beating of tribal drums.
- The highly detailed game board is modeled from the original Jumanji film prop and is officially authorized by Columbia Pictures.
- Measures approximately 7 x 5 inches closed. Batteries included.
There is no comparable evidence here for ranking the games by free currency, banner odds, or how much time it takes to earn specific rewards. If you are concerned about spending, treat optional purchases as a personal budget and collection decision rather than assuming that “free-to-play” guarantees access to every character.
