The Frostblade is a one-handed magical sword in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Zelda Wiki lists its attack strength as 20 and durability as 30; when the blade glows blue, a hit freezes the enemy. The same reference names Gerudo Highlands and Hyrule Field as common locations, but does not give a guaranteed pickup route.

These are the item values listed by Zelda Wiki. The game’s Hyrule Compendium description, reproduced by the wiki, reads: “A magical sword forged in the frigid mountains of the Hebra region. When the blade glows blue, enemies struck by it will become frozen.”
How the freezing effect works
The freeze applies on a hit while the sword is glowing blue. It gives you an opening to reposition, switch weapons, or follow up with another attack. The effect is conditional on the blade’s glow, so do not assume every strike will freeze a target.
Heat-related notes
Zelda Wiki also describes the Frostblade as providing a heat-resistance effect, while noting it is ineffective against Fire or Scorching Climates. Those details are wiki-reported rather than independently confirmed here against an official Nintendo source.

Where to find a Frostblade
Zelda Wiki lists Gerudo Highlands and Hyrule Field as common locations. These are broad regions, not a specific guaranteed pickup point or route. The available location information does not establish an exact chest, enemy, or respawn location.

These weapons share an ice theme but differ in their weapon forms. The Frostblade is a sword; the Great Frostblade is a two-handed weapon, and the Frostspear is a spear. Choose based on the combat style you want. The available reference material does not establish comparable attack and durability values for the Great Frostblade or Frostspear, so this guide does not provide a numerical stat comparison.
