11 bit studios said the beta would begin Monday, April 15, 2024 and run for an entire week. How could players access the beta?
At the time, access to the week-long beta was a benefit of the Digital Deluxe Edition. It let buyers play an early segment of the game’s sandbox mode. That offer was for April 2024; the beta period has passed, so the Digital Deluxe Edition is no longer a way to join it.
What was Frostpunk 2’s release date?
The PC release date changed after the beta. 11 bit studios initially planned to release the game on July 25, 2024, then moved it to September 20, 2024. September 20 was the final PC release date—not an upcoming date. The original announcement also planned PC Game Pass availability at launch; the revised date announcement listed Steam, GOG, and Epic Games Store distribution and PC Game Pass from launch.
