Pokémon TCG Pocket’s Mythical Island expansion (A1a) has 68 numbered base cards, from A1a-001 to A1a-068. The checklist lists 18 additional rare variants, for 86 entries when variants are counted. This is a digital in-game expansion, not a physical Pokémon TCG set.

What the 86-entry count includes
The 68 numbered entries above are the base checklist. The complete checklist count of 86 also includes 18 rare variants. Those variants may repeat a Pokémon or Trainer name, so 86 means listed card entries including variants, not 86 distinct base names.
Release and notable cards
The Pokémon Company announced Mythical Island on 12 December 2024, and specialist checklists give its release date as 17 December 2024. The official strategy overview highlighted Serperior, Celebi ex, Vaporeon, Mew ex and Mythical Slab as cards that could influence strategies; it did not present a universal ranking of the best cards.
