What are Fusion Fragments?
Relic Fragments provide stat bonuses. In the system introduced with The Dark Horizon, fragments are no longer socketed into Relics: you can equip them separately or feed them into a Prism. A Prism can merge two eligible fragment stats into a Fusion Fragment as it levels. The Remnant 2 Wiki’s relic-fragment reference describes the post-update fragment system.

How to create a Prism fusion
- Put the two desired fragment stats into your Prism. A stat can appear only once in a Prism, including after a fusion.
- Level both stats to at least +5. The Prism reference says a fusion choice becomes available only once both eligible stats have reached this threshold.
- Look for the fusion option during a Prism level-up. A fusion is a level-up choice, not an automatic combination at a guaranteed level or time. The available choice depends on the eligible stats in your Prism.
- Select the fusion. The two stats become a level 1 fragment carrying both bonuses. The fusion reduces the Prism’s total level and frees a slot.
The reference does not establish an exact level-up at which the option will appear or the odds of seeing it. Treat +5 as the eligibility threshold, not a promise that the fusion will appear immediately.
Why aren’t my fragments fusing?
- One or both stats are below +5. The stated threshold applies to each component stat, not just their combined level.
- The Prism has a duplicate stat. Each unique stat can appear only once, including in a fusion. Check the Prism’s current contents before planning a pair.
- You are expecting an automatic merge. The fusion is presented as an option during Prism enhancement; reaching the threshold makes a choice available, but does not itself perform the merge.
- You are looking for a specific pair that is not offered. The available reference does not verify the full current fusion list or every choice condition. Check the options shown in your current game rather than relying on an incomplete recipe list.

The Prism reference lists fusion pairs by their two component stats. These examples illustrate the naming and stat-combination format; they are not a complete list.

Where to get relic fragments
The relic-fragment reference lists several routes: defeating Elites, Brutes, and Aberrations; opening loot chests; buying fragments from Dwell for 15 Relic Dust; and receiving some as quest-item rewards from the Nightweaver’s Web. It also says fragment quality depends on difficulty and/or total Archetype level, and that the Explorer Archetype’s Prospector perk improves drop quality. These are reference-wiki claims; the available information does not establish their current balance details or exact conditions.

Choosing a fusion for your build
There is no universally best fusion established by the available references. Choose a pair for the role you want to support, then weigh that benefit against the Prism progression and other stat options involved in producing it.
- Damage: Consider whether the combined stats reinforce your weapon or damage approach. Gunfighter combines ranged fire rate and reload speed.
- Survivability: Prioritize stats that help you stay alive or recover in the situations where your build struggles; Cleric combines healing effectiveness and use speed.
- Mobility: Athletic combines movement speed and evade speed, pairing travel and evasive movement bonuses.
- Utility: Compare the value of both stats together for your play style rather than judging a fusion by its name alone.
Because a fusion starts at level 1 and reduces the Prism’s total level, consider whether gaining both stats in one slot is worth the progression cost for your build. Exact value depends on current in-game numbers and your other Prism choices.
