Which consoles qualified for the 2021 offer?
MobileSyrup reported the following promotional trade-in values. These are historical amounts from its November 2021 coverage, not current quotes.

How much does GameStop offer now?
There is no current $300 offer established for these consoles. GameStop accepts eligible consoles through its trade-in program, but availability is limited to select products and stores. The retailer says products must be in good condition and have the necessary components for the highest value; GameStop determines condition and value. Check its trade-in page and the quote for your specific console before visiting.

GameStop’s model quote pages show why the 2021 maximum should not be treated as a current estimate. For example, the PS4 Slim 1TB page displayed up to $75 in regular store credit or $82.50 in Pro store credit in a quote generated October 1, 2026, which expired at the end of that business day. An Xbox One 1TB quote generated September 10, 2026, displayed up to $50 regular store credit or $55 Pro store credit and also expired that day; a separate Xbox One 500GB page displayed $0.01. What to check before trading in a console
- Identify the exact model and capacity. Check whether it is a PS4 Pro, PS4 Slim, original PS4, Xbox One X, or Xbox One S, and note its storage size. The 2021 promotion assigned different values to different variants.
- Check the current quote and store participation. Use GameStop’s trade estimator or contact the store you plan to visit. Quotes and eligible products can change, and availability is limited to select stores.
- Bring the included parts. GameStop’s trade-in FAQ says to bring the original controller, power cable, HDMI cable, and other included cords or chargers. Missing components may lower the value or lead to rejection; the store determines final eligibility and value. GameStop’s trade-in FAQ.
- Confirm the payout type. Compare store credit with cash where both are quoted, and consider whether you plan to spend credit at GameStop. The 2021 promotion was reported as a gift card offer; current quote pages distinguish store-credit and cash amounts.
Should you trade in or sell elsewhere?
The available figures do not establish whether GameStop will pay more or less than another retailer or a private buyer. Compare the amount you would actually receive—cash versus credit—against the time and effort of selling, and account for whether your console’s model, condition, and included parts meet the trade-in requirements.
