Gaming Keyboard and Mouse Deals: What’s Discounted in August 2026

The old 45%-off headline was a November 2024 Black Friday offer. See reported August 2026 keyboard and mouse discounts, plus the fit and price checks that matter before checkout.

The “up to 45% off” headline belongs to a Black Friday roundup published on November 29, 2024—not a live offer. That maximum discount applied to the Redragon M612 Predator RGB mouse, then listed at $13.72 with a stated $11.20 saving. Those prices have expired. For US shoppers, recent August 2026 deal coverage reports several keyboard and mouse discounts, but retailer prices and stock can change; confirm the exact configuration and final cart price before buying.

Quick picks from reported August 2026 deals

The prices below are reported by deal coverage, not independently verified live checkout prices. They are US-dollar examples; check the retailer, seller, shipping, and configuration before ordering.

Use case Model Reported price and reference Why consider it Main caveat
Budget wired mouse Logitech G203 $21.99, down from $34.99 (37% off) Low-cost entry point Confirm the exact version and seller
Wireless mouse under $50 Logitech G305 Lightspeed $29.99, down from $49.99 (40% off) 2.4GHz wireless at a budget price Check battery and receiver details
FPS mouse deal Razer Viper V3 HyperSpeed $44.99, down from $69.99 (36% off) Competitive-oriented symmetrical shape Fit and weight matter more than the discount
MMO mouse deal Corsair Scimitar Elite Wireless SE $79.99, down from $139.99 (43% off) Side-button-focused control May be more mouse than most FPS players need
Compact keyboard HyperX Alloy Origins 60 $79, down from $99 Small desk footprint 60% layout removes dedicated keys
Magnetic keyboard Keychron K2 HE $111, down from $139 Hall-effect switches and adjustable actuation features Verify layout and software needs

Sources: PC Gamer’s August 2026 mouse deals and Tom’s Guide’s PC gaming deals. The coverage does not establish a comparable current deal price for every keyboard layout, so the table is a shortlist rather than a complete category ranking.

Keyboard deals: choose the layout before the discount

Compact 60% boards

The HyperX Alloy Origins 60 was reported at $79, reduced from $99. A 60% keyboard saves desk space by omitting the function row, arrow keys, navigation cluster, and number pad. Choose it if you are comfortable using key layers or shortcuts; skip it if you frequently use those dedicated keys. The older Razer Huntsman Mini illustrates the same trade-off: HotHardware described it as a 60% optical keyboard without a number pad, dedicated macro keys, or media controls.

Tenkeyless and full-size options

A tenkeyless (TKL or 80%) board keeps the function row and arrow keys while removing the number pad, making it a practical default for gaming when desk space matters. Full-size boards retain the number pad and suit regular data entry, spreadsheets, or users who want more dedicated controls, at the cost of more desk space. The current deal coverage cited here does not establish a verified August price for a specific TKL or full-size keyboard; do not treat a product listing without a former price as a proven discount.

Magnetic and other switch types

The Keychron K2 HE was reported at $111 versus $139. Its Hall-effect magnetic switches can support adjustable actuation and rapid-trigger features, but those capabilities depend on implementation and software settings; they do not guarantee better performance. Check the precise layout, switch behavior, and configuration before purchase.

  • Optical: Light-based actuation varies by manufacturer and model.
  • Magnetic/Hall-effect: Adjustable actuation may be available, often with more configuration and a higher price.

“Mechanical” alone does not tell you how a keyboard feels. Confirm the exact switch type, and check whether remapping or advanced features require companion software. RGB lighting is cosmetic, not a performance advantage.

Budget and wireless picks

The Logitech G203 was reported at $21.99 versus $34.99, while the G305 Lightspeed was listed at $29.99 versus $49.99. The G203 is the cheaper reported entry point; the G305 is the wireless option in this pair. For gaming, 2.4GHz wireless is generally the relevant mode to check. Bluetooth is convenient for laptops and multi-device use, but may not offer the same latency or feature support. Check battery type or charging method, receiver inclusion, and whether a wired fallback is available.

Competitive FPS

The Razer Viper V3 HyperSpeed was reported at $44.99 versus $69.99, and the Viper V3 Pro at $99.99 versus $159.99. A competitive FPS mouse should fit your grip and hand size, track consistently, and connect reliably; low weight can be useful, but it is not automatically the right choice. These deal reports do not provide a common controlled latency or sensor comparison, so the prices alone cannot establish which is faster.

MMO and MOBA controls

The Corsair Scimitar Elite Wireless SE was reported at $79.99 versus $139.99. Its side-button-heavy approach is suited to players who want many commands under the thumb, but a larger button grid can add complexity and is usually unnecessary for a simple FPS setup. The historical Redragon M612 Predator RGB listing shows the budget version of this trade-off: in November 2024 it was a right-handed wired mouse with an 8,000 DPI sensor, 11 programmable buttons, RGB lighting, and a thumb rest, listed at $13.72. That old price is not current, and the design is better aligned with button-heavy or general use than ultralight FPS play.

Handedness and grip

  • Compact symmetrical shells are often worth trying for fingertip or claw grip and can suit left-handed users better than molded right-hand shapes.
  • Larger ergonomic shells may suit palm grip, but many are right-handed only.
  • For travel, look for Bluetooth or dual-mode connectivity, but verify that the gaming connection mode and included receiver meet your needs.

Weight, shape, and button placement matter more than headline DPI. An inexpensive multi-button mouse may be heavy; a light model may offer fewer side buttons or a smaller battery.

Bundles and manufacturer promotions

A keyboard and mouse do not need to share a brand. Mixed-brand setups are usually straightforward; a single ecosystem may be useful for shared lighting, profile management, or a unified receiver in compatible product families. Compare the actual combined price with buying only the devices you need, and account for software requirements.

  • Razer’s Battlestation Builder advertises 20% off two selected products or 25% off three or more, with the promotion stated as valid through December 31, 2026 PST. Selected-product, stock, and eligibility restrictions apply.
  • Razer’s US back-to-school promotion runs July 24 through August 31, 2026 at participating RazerStores and advertises up to 25% off selected peripherals. It is a store-limited promotion, not a universal Razer.com price.
  • Logitech G’s official deals page shows selected-product promotions and bundle incentives, including up to 30% off qualifying Pro Series orders. Check qualifying products and terms rather than assuming every item is discounted.

These are manufacturer promotion signals, not proof that a bundle beats separately priced products. A bundle is poor value if it makes you pay for a headset, mousepad, or other item you would not otherwise buy.

How to choose quickly

  • Small desk: Consider a 60% board if you can live without dedicated arrows and function keys; otherwise choose TKL.
  • Frequent number entry or productivity: Choose full-size; TKL is a compromise if the number pad is occasional rather than essential.
  • Competitive FPS: Prioritize comfortable shape, appropriate weight, reliable connection, and uncomplicated controls.
  • MMO/MOBA: Consider a mouse with programmable side buttons, and verify whether profiles are stored onboard or require software.
  • No charging: A wired mouse avoids battery management; wired keyboards also eliminate keyboard charging.
  • Clean desk: Choose 2.4GHz wireless for gaming and check receiver storage, battery life, and wired fallback.

Check whether the discount is a real deal

A “was” price may be MSRP, a list price, a recent selling price, or retailer reference pricing. A percentage reduction does not establish a historical low. The 2024 HotHardware roundup compared some deals with MSRP and separately mentioned historical lows, which are different claims. Its full list—including the Huntsman Mini at $69.99, Amazon Basics wired keyboard at $11.29, Logitech G413 SE at $56.90, SteelSeries Apex 7 TKL at $69.36, Corsair K70 Core RGB at $74.99, Keychron V5 Max at $75.20, Corsair K70 RGB Pro at $99.99, and Redragon M612 at $13.72—was published November 29, 2024 and is historical, not a current shopping list. See the original HotHardware Black Friday article.

  • Check the exact switch, color, layout (including US ANSI versus ISO), connectivity, and regional model number.
  • Confirm seller, new/open-box/refurbished condition, return policy, warranty, shipping, tax, membership requirement, and any coupon.
  • Compare the delivered price, not just the displayed percentage. Stock and promotions can change quickly.
  • Do not assume that a product on a deals page is discounted if the page does not show a credible reference price. SteelSeries’ deals page, for example, is useful for discovery, but a specific current reduction needs confirmation on the product listing.
  • Check whether gaming features such as rapid-trigger or input-handling options are allowed in the game you play. HotHardware’s 2024 article noted that Razer Snap Tap was disabled by default and banned by Valve in Counter-Strike 2; verify current game rules rather than relying on an old listing.

Official deal pages can help verify the exact promotion, but their prices may change. Check Corsair’s US gaming deals and its weekly deals or FPS weekly deals directly for current terms and configuration.

Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply.
