E-Day refers to Emergence Day, the pivotal event at the heart of the game’s setting. Xbox’s announcement says the story takes players back to that event. The reveal interview identifies The Coalition as the developer and says the trailer was powered by Unreal Engine 5; that describes the trailer’s technology, not a guarantee about every technical detail of the finished game.
