NVIDIA added four games to GeForce NOW during the week of June 18, 2024: Still Wakes the Deep, Skye: The Misty Isle, As Dusk Falls and Tell Me Why. Three were identified as available through PC Game Pass, while all four were listed with Steam access. This was a June 2024 announcement, not a new August 2026 update.
The important distinction is that GeForce NOW provides the remote gaming hardware and streaming session; it does not automatically give members ownership of every game in its catalog.

NVIDIA announced the lineup on June 18, 2024, with Still Wakes the Deep as the headline addition. The announcement listed Skye: The Misty Isle as a new Steam release for June 19, while the other three games were listed as available through the indicated storefronts and, where noted, PC Game Pass.

Why Still Wakes the Deep was the headline game
Still Wakes the Deep is a first-person narrative horror game from The Chinese Room. It takes place aboard an offshore oil rig in the North Sea in 1975. After a disaster cuts off communication and escape routes, the player controls a rig worker trying to survive the damaged platform, a violent storm and an unknowable horror.
It is a particularly relevant cloud-gaming addition because it is a demanding Unreal Engine 5 title. GeForce NOW can run the game on NVIDIA’s remote hardware, which may help someone using a Mac, basic laptop, handheld or other device without a gaming-class local GPU. That does not guarantee identical image quality or latency for every player: the result still depends on the membership tier, device, network connection, display and regional server conditions.
What the other three games offer
Skye: The Misty Isle
Skye: The Misty Isle was listed as a Steam game. NVIDIA did not identify it as a PC Game Pass title in this announcement, so a separate Steam purchase would generally be required unless a different supported entitlement applies. Check the live GeForce NOW catalog before buying, since support and storefront availability can change.

As Dusk Falls
As Dusk Falls is an interactive narrative drama built around the choices of two families whose lives become connected. NVIDIA listed both Steam and Xbox versions and identified the game as available through PC Game Pass.
Tell Me Why
Tell Me Why is a story-focused adventure from Xbox Game Studios and DONTNOD. NVIDIA listed Steam and Xbox versions and identified it as available through PC Game Pass.
What you need to play
A GeForce NOW membership alone is not a blanket game subscription. In most cases, you need both:

- A GeForce NOW account: use the service to stream the game from NVIDIA’s remote systems.
To try one of these games:
- Open the GeForce NOW app or web player and sign in.
- Connect the Steam or Xbox/Microsoft account that owns the PC game or holds the relevant subscription.
- Search for the exact title in the live GeForce NOW catalog.
- Select the correct storefront entry, especially when both Steam and Xbox versions are available.
- Launch the game and complete any required account authentication or first-session setup.
NVIDIA’s how-to-play guidance covers account connections, supported libraries and storage considerations. Game updates, launcher sign-ins and authentication can still occur even though the main game installation is handled remotely.

The 2024 announcement said members could stream the games on supported PCs, Macs, SHIELD TVs and Android devices. GeForce NOW’s current device support is broader, but exact resolution, frame rate, HDR, input support and app availability vary by device, membership, region and display.
NVIDIA’s June 2024 post associated enhanced streaming features, including up to 4K resolution and 120 frames per second, with its Priority and Ultimate memberships. Those plan names, limits, session rules and prices may have changed. Check the current membership page rather than treating the 2024 specifications as current.

Cloud gaming also depends heavily on the connection between your device and the streaming server. Wired Ethernet or reliable 5 GHz/6 GHz Wi-Fi is preferable. Other high-bandwidth activity, VPNs, distant servers and congested networks can increase latency or reduce image quality. A high frame rate on NVIDIA’s remote hardware cannot remove network input delay.
Before you subscribe or buy
- Search the current GeForce NOW catalog for the exact game and storefront.
- Confirm that you have PC Game Pass, not only a console Game Pass entitlement.
- Make sure the linked Steam or Microsoft account is the one that owns the PC version.
- Check regional availability and the current GeForce NOW membership limits.
- Verify controller, keyboard-and-mouse, HDR, resolution and frame-rate support for your device.
- Do not assume cloud saves behave identically across Steam and Xbox versions.
Storefront versions can also differ in settings and features. Reports about differences such as upscaling or frame-generation options should be treated as anecdotal unless independently confirmed; they are not a universal NVIDIA rule.

The game does not appear
Search the exact title, check each available storefront entry, confirm your region and reconnect or resync the relevant account. If the game was newly announced and is missing, the issue may be rollout timing, catalog changes or a temporary service problem rather than your hardware. NVIDIA’s live catalog and support channels are the appropriate next checks.

The wrong version launches
Return to the game’s storefront selector and choose Steam or Xbox/Microsoft Store deliberately. Confirm that the connected account owns that PC version before purchasing the game again.
The stream looks poor or feels delayed
Use Ethernet or stronger Wi-Fi, stop competing downloads and streams, try a lower resolution or frame-rate target, disable the VPN and choose a nearer server if the service allows manual selection. Separate network input delay from the game’s own performance.
The game crashes after an update
Restart the session, check for a recent game patch, try another supported storefront version if one exists and report the issue through NVIDIA’s support or in-app feedback tools. A crash should not automatically be attributed to GeForce NOW without confirmation.

What this update means now
The June 2024 announcement remains useful as a record of that week’s additions, but it should not be confused with a current 2026 catalog announcement. NVIDIA’s August 2026 update covered a different group of games. The live GeForce NOW catalog is the authority for whether these titles, their storefront versions and their subscription routes remain available today.
For an existing PC Game Pass subscriber, the three identified games—Still Wakes the Deep, As Dusk Falls and Tell Me Why—were the clearest way to use the update without buying each game separately. Steam owners could likewise use a supported copy without purchasing it again. But readers still need a separate GeForce NOW membership for the streaming layer, a compatible entitlement and a reliable internet connection.
