HoYoverse named its official Twitch and YouTube channels; contemporaneous coverage reported that Twitch began at the announced time and YouTube premiered an hour later. The broadcast and its redemption codes are now historical.
When was the Genshin Impact 4.5 livestream?
HoYoverse announced the Version 4.5 Special Program for March 1, 2024, at 07:00 AM UTC−5, equivalent to 08:00 AM UTC−4. The official preview named both the Genshin Impact Twitch and YouTube channels. HoYoLAB’s official preview is the primary source for the announced date and time.
How to watch—and why the platform times differed
The official preview described the program as premiering on Twitch and YouTube at 07:00 UTC−5. However, contemporaneous ClutchPoints coverage reported a staggered schedule: Twitch went live at 08:00 AM UTC−4, followed by the official YouTube premiere one hour later. The platform distinction comes from that secondary report; the official notice’s stated time remains 07:00 UTC−5.
Because the event has passed, neither channel is a way to catch the live broadcast. The official program listing may still be useful for its description of what the stream covered: Genshin Impact’s Version 4.5 Special Program listing.
What did HoYoverse say viewers could expect?
The preview promised a broad look at the update, not a specific reveal list. The official video description said: “This special program will feature juicy details about new game content and developments in Version 4.5.” It also said the broadcast would include redemption codes and other goodies.
The preview notice did not enumerate character banners, reruns, or events. Those specifics should not be treated as confirmed by the preview alone; the promise was general Version 4.5 content and development information.

No. The official video listing states that its redemption codes expired on March 1, 2024, at 23:00 UTC−5. The listing also says redeemed rewards were delivered through the in-game mailbox and that the mail expired after 30 days. The codes are historical, not active offers.
