HoYoverse later published an official Ineffa skill-demo article on July 24, introducing her combat style and the Lunar-Charged reaction. Those are separate milestones: the official demo confirms gameplay material existed, but it does not establish who first leaked her appearance or verify the earlier post as the source of a leak.
What the July 2025 post said about Ineffa
The July 1 HoYoLAB post, titled “NOVO PERSONAGEM!! VAI VIR PARA 5.8!”, described Ineffa as a Version 5.8 character. It gave her the title “Boom Boom Thunderwave,” called her a multifunctional domestic robot, and listed her element as Electro. These are details attributed to a community post, not a first-party HoYoverse character announcement. Read the HoYoLAB post.
The post is evidence that those descriptions were being shared in the community by that date. It does not, by itself, establish that it was the original leak, when the appearance was first revealed, or whether every visual detail circulating at the time was accurate.
What HoYoverse officially published later
On July 24, 2025, HoYoverse published an official Spanish-language article titled “La llave de la reacción de Electrocargado Lunar: Ineffa – Demo de habilidades de personaje.” The page describes the material as a character skill demo introducing Ineffa’s combat style and the new Lunar-Charged reaction. See HoYoverse’s official skill-demo article.

This official gameplay material is a later, distinct source. Its publication supports that HoYoverse presented Ineffa and her combat mechanics on that date; it does not document the provenance or timing of an earlier appearance leak.
How the evidence differs
| Source and date | What it supports | What it does not establish |
|---|---|---|
| HoYoLAB community post, July 1, 2025 | A community post discussed Ineffa as a Version 5.8 character and supplied the “Boom Boom Thunderwave,” domestic-robot, and Electro labels. | That the post was the original leak, that HoYoverse confirmed those labels there, or the exact first public reveal of her appearance. |
| HoYoLAB community repost, July 19, 2025 | A community repost pointed to a Version 5.8 preview page, providing historical context for community discussion. | It is not itself the underlying official announcement or proof of leak provenance. View the repost. |
| HoYoverse official skill-demo article, July 24, 2025 | HoYoverse published gameplay material describing Ineffa’s combat style and introducing Lunar-Charged. | That the official page verifies the earlier leak or identifies who first revealed her appearance. |
Was Ineffa’s appearance “finally revealed” by a leak?
The available dated sources do not establish the original leak’s source, its first circulation date, or a detailed first-party description of Ineffa’s visual design. The July 1 post contains character labels and a robot description, while the July 24 official page concerns a skill demo. Neither source is enough to make a precise claim about who first revealed her appearance or exactly what that reveal showed.
