The best Pyro Traveler build for most teams is an off-field support setup: use Favonius Sword, four pieces of Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City, an Energy Recharge sands, and enough Energy Recharge to Burst every rotation. Pyro Traveler is primarily a Pyro enabler and team buffer—not a direct replacement for a premium Pyro DPS.
This guide reflects the documented Version 6.7 snapshot from August 8, 2026. Version 7.0 launched on August 12, so version-dependent details should be checked after that update.

Pyro Traveler’s role
Pyro Traveler is a five-star Pyro sword character whose normal role is off-field Pyro application and team support. Their Elemental Skill creates a Threshold that remains active after they leave the field, while their Burst deals area-of-effect Pyro damage and restores Nightsoul points.
The character’s main limitations are slow Pyro application, limited area coverage, high Energy Recharge requirements, and relatively modest personal scaling. Pyro Traveler is most valuable when a team needs reliable off-field support, Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City, or a low-investment Pyro unit.

How to unlock Pyro Traveler
You cannot unlock Pyro Traveler simply by visiting a Natlan Statue of The Seven.
- Complete Chapter V: Act V — Incandescent Ode of Resurrection.
- Complete the Archon Quest “Where All Hopes Lie.”
- Visit the appropriate Statue of The Seven and select Traveler’s Pyro resonance option.
The menu path is Character menu → Traveler → interact with a Statue of The Seven → Resonate with Pyro. Before completing the required story progression, the Natlan statue can display “Cannot resonate with Pyro…”.

Best overall build: off-field support
Weapons
| Weapon | Best use |
|---|---|
| Favonius Sword | Best general option. Its Energy Recharge and team particle generation often improve the entire rotation. |
| Sacrificial Sword | Can refresh Flowfire Blade. It becomes more attractive at high refinement, especially R5, and in short-rotation teams. |
| Freedom-Sworn | Premium reaction-support option. Elemental Mastery improves reaction damage and its passive can buff the team after reactions and Normal, Charged, or Plunging Attacks. |
| Xiphos’ Moonlight | Provides Elemental Mastery and can share Energy Recharge with the team. |
| Iron Sting | Accessible craftable option for reaction teams, especially when Pyro Traveler personally triggers Burgeon or Overloaded. |
Favonius Sword is the safest default. Sacrificial Sword is not automatically better: its value depends on refinement, cooldown timing, and whether the extra Skill cast improves the rotation.
Artifacts and stats
Use four-piece Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City. Pyro Traveler can trigger and maintain its team damage buff through Nightsoul-aligned attacks.

- G-I Merchandise: G-I Game klee characters. High quality game character sculptures for fans. Definitely a great gift for fans, desktop decorations
- High quality: all the characters are carefully crafted, bright colors will not fade, This figure is with luminous effect
- Material: PVC environmentally friendly materials, will not release a pungent smell. And the product is flexible and not easily damaged
- Let the game Klee appear to you: Exquisite modeling and painting, restore the lovely image of species Klee
- Three styles: three images of Klee for you to choose, each one is very cute!
- Sands: Energy Recharge
- Goblet: Pyro DMG Bonus
- Circlet: CRIT Rate or CRIT DMG
- Substats: Energy Recharge until the rotation is reliable, then CRIT Rate, CRIT DMG, and ATK%
A practical support target is approximately 210–240% Energy Recharge. This is not a fixed requirement: the correct amount changes with the number of Pyro characters, Favonius weapons, enemy particle generation, and whether Plains Scorcher is used every rotation.

- Tenacity of the Millelith: useful when another teammate already carries Scroll.
- Noblesse Oblige: good when the team benefits strongly from its ATK buff.
- Instructor: an early-game or reaction-support option.
- Archaic Petra: niche in Geo teams if Pyro Traveler can reliably collect the correct Crystallize shard.
- Deepwood Memories: use only when the team’s Dendro damage justifies it and no better holder is available.
Talent priority
- Elemental Skill — Flowfire Blade
- Elemental Burst — Plains Scorcher
- Normal Attack — Foreign Blaze
Flowfire Blade comes first because it provides the off-field Pyro effect and creates the Threshold. Plains Scorcher remains important for damage and Nightsoul restoration.
How to use Flowfire Blade
Flowfire Blade has Tap and Hold versions:
- Tap: creates a Blazing Threshold that periodically deals Pyro damage near the active character.
- Hold: creates a Scorching Threshold. When the active character deals damage, it launches a coordinated Pyro attack, with a cooldown of roughly three seconds.
Both versions initially grant 42 Nightsoul points. Hold is generally the preferred support option because its coordinated attacks fit standard team rotations. Tap can be preferable in some Burgeon teams because its periodic Pyro application can be better suited to triggering Dendro Cores.
A standard support sequence is:
Elemental Skill → Elemental Burst → swap to the main damage dealer
Using the Burst after the Skill restores Nightsoul points and helps extend Threshold uptime.

Best Pyro Traveler team compositions
Overloaded: Varesa, Chevreuse, Iansan
Varesa — Pyro Traveler — Chevreuse — Iansan
Pyro Traveler maintains Pyro presence while the Electro characters trigger Overloaded. Chevreuse’s strongest support effects require a team containing only Pyro and Electro characters. Suitable Electro alternatives include Raiden Shogun, Clorinde, Cyno, Yae Miko, Fischl, and Ororon.
Do not add Hydro, Anemo, Cryo, or Dendro characters to this type of Chevreuse team if doing so would disable her restriction-dependent buffs.
Mualani Vaporize
Mualani — Pyro Traveler — Xilonen — Sucrose
Pyro Traveler can provide enough Pyro for Mualani in single-target Vaporize situations while carrying Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City. The setup is less reliable against multiple targets because Pyro Traveler’s application is slow and limited.
Kinich Burning
Kinich — Pyro Traveler — Emilie — Bennett
Pyro Traveler supplies off-field Pyro for Burning. Kinich and Emilie provide the main damage, while Bennett adds healing, ATK, and Pyro Resonance.
Burgeon
Nahida — Pyro Traveler — Furina — Kokomi
Nahida and the Hydro characters create Dendro Cores, while Pyro Traveler triggers Burgeon. Slow Pyro application can be helpful here because excessive Pyro may disrupt the Dendro and Hydro setup.
A more accessible option is Yaoyao — Xingqiu — Ororon — Pyro Traveler. This team is Energy-hungry and benefits substantially from multiple Favonius weapons.
Reaction-focused build
Choose this setup when Pyro Traveler is expected to trigger Burgeon or Overloaded rather than primarily buffing another character.

Weapon priority
- Freedom-Sworn

Freedom-Sworn and Xiphos’ Moonlight improve reaction damage through Elemental Mastery. Favonius Sword can still be the better practical choice when the team cannot meet its Energy requirements.

Artifacts and stats
- Artifact set: four-piece Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City for total team damage
- Personal Burgeon damage: four-piece Flower of Paradise Lost
- Alternative: four-piece Gilded Dreams
- Sands: Elemental Mastery or Energy Recharge
- Goblet: Elemental Mastery
- Circlet: Elemental Mastery
- Substats: Energy Recharge until requirements are met, then Elemental Mastery; add CRIT Rate when using Favonius Sword
Reaction teams can require roughly 240–270% Energy Recharge when Traveler must Burst every rotation. Team composition and particle generation can move this target considerably.
On-field DPS build
On-field Pyro Traveler is viable, but it is a specialized, preference-driven playstyle rather than the character’s universally best role.
The key requirement is C6. It converts Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attacks into Pyro damage that cannot be overridden and grants those attacks 40% CRIT DMG.
Artifacts and stats
- Best set: four-piece Obsidian Codex
- With Furina: four-piece Marechaussee Hunter is usable, but generally inferior to Obsidian Codex for this role
- Reaction alternative: four-piece Crimson Witch of Flames when Vaporize or Melt is triggered consistently
- Sands: ATK% or Elemental Mastery, depending on reaction consistency
- Goblet: Pyro DMG Bonus
- Circlet: CRIT Rate or CRIT DMG
- Substats: CRIT Rate, CRIT DMG, ATK%, Elemental Mastery, and enough Energy Recharge for the rotation
On-field team options
- Vaporize: Pyro Traveler — Furina — Bennett — Yelan or Xingqiu
- Melt: Pyro Traveler — Citlali — Bennett — Xilonen
- Plunge Vaporize or Melt: Pyro Traveler — Furina or Citlali — Xianyun — Bennett
- Overloaded: Pyro Traveler — Chevreuse — Fischl, Yae Miko, or Ororon — Bennett
Furina requires a healer for dependable Fanfare stacking. Citlali supplies Cryo application and support, while Xilonen provides healing, resistance reduction, and team buffs.

Best Value
- For preorder items, if your address changes before shipment, please email us so we can update it promptly. We're sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, and we appreciate your kind understanding and continued support.
- A set obtained during “Where All Hopes Lie” whose effects are restricted to the Lord of Eroded Primal Fire encounter.
- General-use effects unlocked with Blazing Flint Ore through the Throne of the Primal Fire system.
The general-use effects are:
- C1: Active-character damage increases by 6%, with an additional 9% when that character is in Nightsoul’s Blessing.
- C2: Nearby party members’ reactions restore Nightsoul points.
- C3: Increases Flowfire Blade by three levels.
- C4: Grants Pyro DMG Bonus after Plains Scorcher.
- C5: Increases Plains Scorcher by three levels.
- C6: Grants unoverrideable Pyro conversion to Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attacks and gives those attacks 40% CRIT DMG.
Seeing six constellation icons after the Archon Quest does not mean the Traveler has normal, general-use C6. The boss-specific effects do not function as ordinary overworld or Spiral Abyss upgrades.
Foreign Starfire: the additional progression system
Foreign Starfire is unlocked by completing Song of the Welkin Moon: Act VIII — True Moon. It grants a bonus based on the element with which the Traveler has resonated:
| Resonated element | Bonus |
|---|---|
| Anemo | 10% CRIT Rate |
| Geo | 20% DEF |
| Electro | 20% Energy Recharge |
| Dendro | 60 Elemental Mastery |
| Hydro | 20% Max HP |
| Pyro | 20% ATK |
| Cryo | 20% CRIT DMG |
Foreign Starfire also lets nearby party members’ Nightsoul Bursts generate Blade of the Sacred Flame stacks. At two stacks, Traveler can use the special Charged Attack Inferno, which deals additional Nightsoul-aligned Pyro damage based on ATK.
Older guides that omit Foreign Starfire, the additional ATK bonus, or Inferno are incomplete for current progression.
Common mistakes
- Assuming Natlan’s statue immediately unlocks Pyro: the required Archon Quest must be completed first.
- Calling Pyro Traveler a four-star: the character is classified as five-star.
- Treating the Archon Quest reward as normal C6: boss-specific constellation effects are not general upgrades.
- Building only for on-field DPS: the standard role is off-field support, and the on-field version generally requires C6.
- Rejecting Favonius Sword because it deals less personal damage: team Energy can improve the complete rotation more than a damage-focused weapon.
- Using an old guide without checking its version: documented guides updated for earlier versions may omit later progression systems such as Foreign Starfire.
Quick recommendation
For a reliable general build, equip Favonius Sword and four-piece Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City. Use an Energy Recharge/Pyro DMG/CRIT main-stat combination, target roughly 210–240% Energy Recharge, prioritize Flowfire Blade, and use Skill → Burst → swap. Switch to Elemental Mastery main stats only when Traveler consistently triggers the team’s reactions, and reserve the C6 Obsidian Codex build for players specifically pursuing on-field Pyro attacks.
