Mavuika’s announced release window was Version 5.3, which launched January 1, 2025. HoYoverse placed her debut in the update’s first Event Wish phase alongside Citlali. The date and banner placement were later confirmed in official announcements; the available official sources do not establish who made the earlier leak or exactly what it said.
When did Mavuika release in Genshin Impact?
HoYoverse announced on December 20, 2024, that Version 5.3, titled Incandescent Ode of Resurrection, would arrive on January 1, 2025. The announcement placed Mavuika and Citlali in the first phase of the update’s Event Wishes. COGNOSPHERE’s Japanese-language announcement, also dated December 20, independently confirmed the January 1 update date and the first-phase lineup.
That is the confirmed resolution of the release-window claim: Mavuika was scheduled to debut in Version 5.3’s first phase. The announcement did not give a regional reset time, so a more precise hour is not established here. The January 2025 schedule is historical, not a statement about whether Mavuika is currently available or when she may rerun.
What did the official announcement say about Mavuika?
Character and combat
HoYoverse described Mavuika as a five-star Pyro character who wields a claymore. Her Skill could summon All-Fire Armaments to follow her or the active character and deal ongoing Pyro damage, or turn those armaments into the Flamestrider for mounted attacks.

The official announcements verify the eventual schedule: Version 5.3 began January 1, 2025, and Mavuika was announced for its first Event Wish phase with Citlali. They do not identify the original leaker, provide a dated leak post, or confirm the exact wording or provenance of the earlier report. The leak itself therefore cannot be independently verified from these sources; it is the later official announcement that settles the date and phase.
