Players could earn it through Lantern Rite event rewards by playing mini-games and earning Festive Fever. Ganyu’s and Shenhe’s new outfits were separate in-game store purchases with a limited-time discount. Version 4.4 launched on January 31, 2024, so the free-outfit route described here was a historical event reward, not a claim that the original event is still open.
How did players get the free Version 4.4 outfit?
During Version 4.4’s Lantern Rite, players earned Festive Fever by participating in event mini-games. HoYoverse’s announcement said Festive Fever could be used to obtain event rewards, including Xingqiu’s “Bamboo Rain” outfit. The announcement does not specify the exact Festive Fever threshold or give a complete claim sequence, so a precise point total or button-by-button guide cannot be established from it.
HoYoverse’s Version 4.4 announcement on PlayStation.Blog described the outfit as free and linked it to Festive Fever earned through mini-games.
Were Ganyu’s and Shenhe’s Version 4.4 outfits free?
No. Ganyu and Shenhe also received new outfits in Version 4.4, but HoYoverse said they were available in the in-game store with a limited-time discount. They were paid cosmetics, not part of the free Xingqiu event reward. The announcement does not give prices or establish whether either outfit is listed in the shop now.

Can you still claim Bamboo Rain through the original event?
The original Lantern Rite reward was tied to Version 4.4, which was announced for January 31, 2024. The announcement does not say that the event remains available, that the outfit has returned, or that it can currently be obtained by another route. It therefore supports the historical event method, but not a claim about present-day availability or a future rerun.
