If Ghost of Yōtei DLC is missing on PS5, first check that the purchase belongs to the signed-in account and that the content has actually been downloaded. If it is installed but missing in the game, check its unlock conditions and where it appears before reinstalling anything. Work through the checks below in order; a completed purchase alone does not confirm that an add-on is installed or available at the point you are looking.
First, identify what “not appearing” means
There are two different problems to distinguish:
- The add-on is absent from PS5 menus. Check ownership, the game’s Add-Ons list, and installation status.
- The add-on appears installed, but you cannot find it in Ghost of Yōtei. Check the content description and its unlock conditions. PlayStation Support notes that some add-ons unlock after a checkpoint or in a particular location; bonus items may appear in your inventory or a mailbox rather than as a separate mode or menu.
Check the purchase and the account that owns it
- On the PS5, make sure you are signed in to the PSN account that bought or redeemed the add-on.
- Check that account’s transaction history and confirm the purchase completed. A different account being active can prevent the content from appearing.
- Confirm the specific add-on is included with the edition or bundle you own. Read its description so you know what content to look for and where it should appear; do not buy it again until you have checked what your edition includes.
Check whether the add-on is downloaded
- Open Game Library > Your collection, select Ghost of Yōtei, and inspect Add-Ons.
- Alternatively, highlight Ghost of Yōtei on the home screen, press the Options button, and select Manage Game Content.
- If the purchased content is listed but not installed, select it to download it. Some bundled content requires separate packs, so check each item rather than assuming the main game download included everything.
If you own the disc version, check the region
For Store add-ons to work with a disc copy, PlayStation says the disc must be licensed for use in the same country or region as the PSN account. Check the region printed on the game box and the country or region in your account information. PlayStation says the account country or region cannot be changed.
Restart the PS5 and restore licenses
- Restart the console, then check the game’s Add-Ons or Manage Game Content list again.
- To restore licenses, go to Settings > Users and Accounts > Other > Restore Licenses. PlayStation Support says restoring licenses can help when a game or add-on cannot be located and “won’t affect your data.”
Update the game before trying a reinstall
Check for both a PS5 system update and a Ghost of Yōtei game update. The US PlayStation Store listing for the Complete Edition says Echoes of Sekigahara and Most Wanted are included through patch v2.0 or later, and that patch-dependent content requires an internet connection and PlayStation account to download. That listing is US-specific; it does not establish that content became available at the same time in every territory. It gives August 12, 2026 as the edition’s release date.
If the content still fails after the account, download, region, and license checks, treat reinstalling as a later step. KOEI TECMO’s general PS5 DLC guidance suggests rebuilding the database in Safe Mode and then reinstalling the game and DLC. These are broader troubleshooting steps, not confirmation of a Ghost of Yōtei-specific defect.

When to contact support
If the transaction is confirmed and the add-on remains missing, contact PlayStation Support with the transaction details and a screenshot or video showing the problem. For a third-party title, PlayStation also advises checking with the publisher for known issues. No Yōtei-specific support notice confirming a particular outage or defect is established here, so the checks above are general PS5 troubleshooting rather than a diagnosis of your console or account.
