What the ESRB rating says about the hot-spring scene
The ESRB’s Ghost of Yōtei rating explicitly mentions a hot spring and partial nudity: “During the course of the game, a female character’s exposed buttocks is depicted in a hot spring.” That confirms the setting returns, but the rating does not explain how the scene works, whether it has gameplay mechanics, or what purpose it serves in the story.

Ghost of Yōtei’s ESRB rating and content descriptors
The ESRB rates the PlayStation 5 game M for Mature 17+, with these content descriptors:
- Blood and Gore
- Drug Reference
- Intense Violence
- Language
- Partial Nudity
- Use of Alcohol
The listing also includes the interactive elements labels “Users Interact” and “In-Game Purchases.” The rating summary describes open-world exploration, bounty hunting, duels, and melee combat, along with weapons such as katanas, spears, bows, and rifles. It cites graphic combat and violent cutscenes as rating context.

The hot-spring mention is direct evidence that the feature appears in Ghost of Yōtei, a return that will interest players who remember it from Ghost of Tsushima. It does not establish that the two games use hot springs in the same way, or that the scene has the same mechanics, presentation, or narrative role.
Platform and edition
The ESRB listing is for PlayStation 5. PlayStation has also announced a Complete Edition for PS5, described as including the main game and additional content. Check current retail listings for availability and the contents of the edition you plan to buy.
