Use an interactive map to track Ghost of Yōtei’s activities, collectibles, services, and locations by region. The map and app options below are unofficial; PlayStation’s official activity guide explains what the main exploration activities reward. Ghost of Yōtei is available as a Standard Edition Blu-ray for PlayStation 5, as listed on PlayStation’s game page.
Choose an interactive map or companion app
Fan-made maps can make free-roam cleanup easier by letting you filter marker categories and track what you have found. The Ghost-of-yotei.com guide is unofficial and reports base-game activity and collectible locations. Its counts should be treated as guide totals, not as an official PlayStation tally.

The Google Play listing for Yōtei Companion, updated August 25, 2026, describes an offline map with marker filters, checklists, and custom markers. The listing identifies the app as third-party and says it is not affiliated with Sony Interactive Entertainment. Check the listing for current availability and features before installing.
What to look for in a map
- Coverage: Confirm whether the map separates base-game locations from expansion markers.
- Filters: Hide categories you have already cleared or do not need.
- Progress tracking: Use a checklist so you can distinguish found locations from remaining ones.
- Offline access and custom pins: Useful when planning a route or recording an unlisted point of interest.
- Official status: These map guides and companion apps are third-party tools, not official PlayStation maps.
Regions covered by the fan map
The unofficial fan guide divides the base game into six main regions and the smaller Mount Yōtei area:

- Stunning graphics and gameplay, explore the wild and striking lands around Mount Yotei on foot or horseback. Travel picturesque parts of northern Japan through grasslands, snowy ridges, fields of wildflowers, and more.
- Discover renegade combat, engage in lawless katana combat and battles with adversaires. Train with various sensei as you find and learn to use each new weapon.
- An unconventional story and journey, take in the cultural beauty of Japan, bathe in an onsen, visit shrines to pray, try Sumi-e painting, and so much more.

The guide says Nayoro Wilds can be reached from the start by ferry, Teshio Ridge becomes accessible during Main Tale: The Kitsune, and Oshima Coast opens during Main Tale: The Saito Brothers. These are guide-reported progression details; consult your in-game journal and map if your route differs.
Activities and what they give you
PlayStation describes exploration activities that help you develop Atsu and collect customization items. Its official activities guide lists these rewards:

PlayStation also describes using a grappling hook to scale cliffs, marking points of interest with a spyglass, and following local fauna to uncover activities. If you spot an activity in the world that is not on your checklist, mark it and return later rather than assuming the map has exposed every location.
How many collectibles are there?
There is no single uncontested total in the cited guides. The Ghost-of-yotei.com fan guide reports 310 base-game collectibles and activities across about 20 categories, while PowerPyx’s guide, dated October 1, 2025, lists 319 collectible locations. These figures use different scopes or counting methods and should not be combined or treated as an official total.

The fan guide reports 61 Altars of Reflection, 16 hot springs, 13 shrine climbs, 15 Bamboo Strikes, and 11 fox dens across its coverage. Its region-by-region breakdown lists only 60 Altars, however, so the regional altar numbers do not reconcile with its stated overall figure. Use the interactive map’s individual pins and your in-game progress rather than relying on a summed regional count.
Finding activities that are not marked
Some categories may not appear as map markers. The fan guide specifically says Nine Tails’ Puzzle Boxes and Ainu Items are not automatically marked when nearby. PowerPyx also identifies Special Places and gear equipment among locations not marked on the map. Because the guides differ in their category coverage, treat a blank map as a planning aid, not proof that an area is complete.

- Use map filters to show the activity or collectible category you are clearing.
- Check the Growth and Gear menus for remaining upgrades or items, then compare those gaps against your checklist.
- Explore unmarked areas and use the spyglass or nearby fauna to reveal points of interest.
- Record any location not represented by a map marker with a custom pin or personal checklist.
Can you clean up collectibles after the story?
Both secondary guides say collectibles can be found after the story, and the fan guide says free roam continues after the credits. That guide therefore describes base-game content as non-missable. This is a fan-guide claim rather than an official guarantee; if a specific activity appears unavailable, check its quest or region requirements before assuming it has been missed.
