Was there a confirmed release time?
No exact release hour was specified in Sucker Punch’s official announcement. It confirmed March 10, 2026, as the date for most territories and March 11 for some territories, including Asia, Australia, and New Zealand. That means players did not necessarily get access on the same local calendar day; the announcement does not establish a universal simultaneous unlock time. PlayStation Blog’s announcement is the source for the dates, not a clock-time schedule.

As of October 5, 2026, both launch dates have passed. A countdown clock should therefore be replaced by a past-release status rather than an estimate based on another update’s schedule or community speculation.
What is Legends, and who can play it?
Legends is the free online co-op mode for owners of Ghost of Yōtei, added in patch 1.5. Sucker Punch described it as a mode where players team up against supernatural versions of the Yōtei Six. You need an internet connection and a PlayStation account; PlayStation Plus is required for online play or multiplayer. Check PlayStation’s current service terms for any changes. Which modes are available?

Sucker Punch also announced a Raid featuring the Dragon and Lord Saito as a later update, but the launch announcement did not specify its patch version. For its current availability, check the game’s in-game notices or official update information.
What classes can players choose?
The launch roster has four classes, each built around a different weapon and combat approach:

Is Legends the same as the newer Ghost of Yōtei content?
No. Sony announced that patch v2.0 content became available globally on October 1, 2026, and on October 2 in some territories. The Complete Edition and upgrade content include Echoes of Sekigahara, a narrative expansion, and Most Wanted, a single-player combat survival mode. Those are distinct from Legends, which is the free co-op mode for game owners. Sony listed the Complete Edition at $69.99 USD and the upgrade for existing owners at $14.99 USD when announced; those prices and current availability may vary, so check the regional PlayStation Store.
