What were the reported preload date and download size?
Twisted Voxel reported on September 5, 2025, citing PlayStation Game Size, that the preload was scheduled to begin on September 25, 2025. The same report listed a download size of 85.119 GB for version 01.002.000.

Those figures describe a pre-release build as reported by a secondary source. Sony’s official announcements confirm the game’s PS5 release, but the official materials reviewed do not confirm the preload date or 85.119 GB figure.

Yes. Sony Interactive Entertainment announced Ghost of Yōtei’s worldwide PS5 launch for October 2, 2025. It is a PS5 game, with standard-edition retail and digital availability announced before release.

As of October 8, 2026, the PlayStation Store lists a Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition that includes the main game, Legends co-op mode, and additional content; its listing describes patch v2.0 content. The available information does not give a verified current install-size figure for that edition. Sony’s official release announcement confirms Ghost of Yōtei as a standalone PS5 experience set in 1600s rural Japan and gives its October 2, 2025 launch date. The announcement also discusses PS5 Pro features and DualSense haptics and adaptive triggers. It does not establish the preload size or schedule.
