In the latest located Gods & Demons tier-list snapshot, Orpheus, Ostara, and Grox are all S+ and make a useful starting core: Orpheus deals area damage, Ostara supplies healing and offensive support, and Grox protects the team while disrupting enemies. That is a role-balanced foundation, not a guaranteed best lineup. Add heroes that fit your roster, the encounter, and the mode you are playing.
The rankings below come from Pocket Gamer’s version 3.0.10 list, updated October 5, 2026. Its publisher says the list will no longer be updated, so treat it as a dated editorial snapshot rather than a live meta. Store availability is also unclear: check your regional app store.

How to build a team around the strongest heroes
Start by covering three jobs: damage, protection, and sustain. Then use the remaining places to add damage, control, or a skill interaction suited to the fight. The game’s Google Play description says players can mix and match lineups and build tactics around enemy weaknesses; a tier rank by itself does not prescribe one fixed formation.

Use Orpheus as an area-damage carry
Pocket Gamer describes Orpheus as an AoE damage dealer whose relevant skill improves at health thresholds of 50%, then 60%, then 70% as the skill advances. Pair him with frontline protection and enough healing or mitigation to keep him contributing. His S+ placement does not remove the need to support his damage role.
Let Ostara cover sustain and offensive support
Ostara’s kit, as described by Pocket Gamer, combines damage mitigation, healing, attack and critical-stat buffs, and an additional heal-and-buff effect when she dies. The list calls her its strongest healer, making her a natural primary sustain choice when she is available.

Use Grox to protect and disrupt
Grox brings durability, taunt, and a curse that increases the damage enemies take after two turns. He can also revive once per battle, according to Pocket Gamer. Those tools complement a damage-focused core by drawing pressure and interfering with enemies.
Fill the remaining slots for synergy or mode needs
- Freni for bleed-based control: She deals AoE magic damage and can inflict bleed; she can silence enemies already affected by bleed. Pocket Gamer specifically recommends pairing her with other bleed appliers.
- Seraphel for extra recovery: She can heal and revive fallen allies, and Pocket Gamer presents her as an alternative when Ostara is unavailable.
- Liana for support and Arena utility: Her kit includes healing, buffs, crowd-control resistance, and debuff dispelling. Pocket Gamer says upgrading Soaring Dance to level 3 adds damage reflection and highlights her for Arena.
- Ella for story-mode damage: Pocket Gamer describes her AoE true damage as useful in story mode.
- Rein for frequent-hit teams: He can make extra normal attacks when allies hit an enemy and deals increased damage to low-health targets, so he suits lineups that trigger frequent allied hits.
These are role and synergy suggestions, not a proven mode-by-mode ranking. The available source offers specific mode comments for Ella and Liana but does not systematically compare every hero across story, Arena, guild battles, or other encounters.
Rank #4
- Ultimate Legends Demon Slayer: Akaza figure has 27 points of articulation allowing infinite posing and display options

- The Ultimate Legends brand offers entry level action figures for kids and casual fans who want to own an affordable, yet well-articulated, figure from some of the most popular anime titles

Choose heroes you can actually develop
Do not hold up progression while waiting for a perfect Mythic lineup. Pocket Gamer says most Mythic heroes can work with decent synergy, but ascending heroes requires duplicates and Mythic duplicates can be hard to obtain. A compatible Legendary—or sometimes Epic—hero may be the practical choice while your roster develops.
The same source describes Rebirth as resetting an upgraded hero to level 1, which players can consider when reallocating early investment. It also generally relegates Epic and lower-rarity heroes to Codex or fodder use, but provides no controlled testing, resource-cost breakdown, or mode-specific exceptions for that advice. Treat it as the list author’s recommendation rather than a universal rule.

How to use the tier list for your next fight
- Identify the job your lineup lacks. Check whether you need a damage carry, a durable frontline, healing, or control.
- Start with the best compatible heroes you own. Orpheus, Ostara, and Grox cover complementary roles when available, but do not wait for all three if your roster cannot support that plan.
- Look for a skill interaction. For example, Freni’s silence depends on enemies already being affected by bleed; Rein benefits from frequent allied hits.
- Adapt to the mode and enemy. Consider the specific encounter rather than assuming an Arena-oriented support or a story-mode damage pick is best everywhere.
- Weigh investment feasibility. Ascension depends on duplicates, so factor in the heroes you can realistically develop as well as their tier placement.
How current is this tier list?
Pocket Gamer labels its list version 3.0.10 and gives October 5, 2026, as its update date; it also says it will no longer update the page. The Google Play listing for Gods and Demons – Idle RPG, published by Moye Games, Ltd., displays an update date of May 13, 2026. Pocket Gamer says the game had been removed from the App Store and Play Store, while the Google Play listing was accessible when these sources were reviewed. Because those statements conflict, availability should be checked in your regional store rather than assumed.
The listing describes the game as an idle strategy RPG with varied stages, guild battles, and a Global Arena. It says: “Mix and match your lineup freely to tackle all kinds of challenges!” Read the [Gods and Demons Google Play listing] for the developer-provided description.
