More importantly for players, Bandai Namco’s announcement does not specify how the appearance works. How is the free update different from NEO?
Bandai Namco announced a free update alongside the paid DLC, with mechanics including Sparking Boost and Chain Blast. Those update features are separate from the NEO DLC’s paid additions; owning or discussing the free update should not be confused with access to the DLC roster and modes.

Which platforms have NEO?
Bandai Namco America announced NEO for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC through Steam, with Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 versions planned for later. The announcement gives no current Switch release date, and regional store availability can change, so check the relevant platform storefront for the latest status.
NEO is downloadable content, not a boxed physical release. Bandai Namco’s product page distinguishes physical and digital editions of the base game; a base-game edition should not be mistaken for a physical NEO package.

What should players expect before buying?
If the main reason you are interested in NEO is using False Super Saiyan as a sustained, freely selectable transformation, the written announcement does not establish that it works that way. Check released gameplay or the in-game transformation and move lists on your platform before buying on that expectation. The publisher’s announced DLC content is broader: characters, Episode Battles, stages and Limit Breaker Journey.
