What is in the Gran Turismo 7 Spec III update?
Spec III was the name given to GT7’s major Update 1.65. The official announcement described it as the game’s second major evolution. Spec III is not the latest GT7 update as of October 8, 2026: later update notices followed it, including Update 1.67, Update 1.69, and Update 1.70. This guide covers what arrived with Spec III at launch.

Which new tracks came to GT7?
Yas Marina Circuit
Yas Marina Circuit is on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi. The official update article gives its layout as 5,281 m long, with 11 m of elevation change, 16 corners, and a longest straight of 1,233 m.
Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve
Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve was the other Spec III addition. The official update article names the circuit but does not provide a matching set of layout measurements, so the figures above apply only to Yas Marina.

What new features and progression changes did Spec III add?
Data Logger
The Data Logger lets players review prior attempts or replay data and compare elements such as racing line, throttle and brake inputs, speed, and engine RPM in real time. It is available in non-racing modes including Time Trial, License Center, and Circuit Experience. It provides a way to inspect driving data; the update notice does not claim specific performance gains.
Collector Levels and Brand Central invitations
Spec III raised the Collector Level cap from 50 to 70. Players who reach levels above 50 receive unlimited Brand Central invitations, removing the previous invitation limit for that progression range.

The update also introduced Dunlop tires, enhanced Weekly Challenges, a new opening movie, a Seasonal Menu and other Café additions, new Circuit Experience events, new Scapes curations, and online race improvements.
New World Circuits events included:

When did the GT7 Spec III update come out?
Update 1.65 launched on December 4, 2025. The initial Spec III announcement was published on September 24, 2025, before the detailed update article dated December 3, 2025.

Is Gran Turismo 7 Spec III free?
Yes. Spec III is a free update to Gran Turismo 7, not a separately priced expansion. Players still need the underlying game. The official Gran Turismo 7 product page distinguishes the free Spec III update from Power Pack, which is separate paid DLC for PS5.
