When did the GT7 October update come out?
Polyphony Digital released Update 1.52 on October 3, 2024. The official release notice is dated that day; the preview appeared on October 2.

What cars were added in Gran Turismo 7 Update 1.52?
The update added three cars, with different in-game dealership availability:

What events and Café content did Update 1.52 add?
World Circuits
Five event placements were included in the release notice:
- Sunday Cup at Tokyo Expressway
- Nissan GT-R Cup at Circuit de Sainte-Croix
- Evolution Meeting at Kyoto Driving Park
- Evolution Meeting at Monza
- Evolution Meeting at Colorado Springs
Café menus and conversations
- Menu Book No. 51, Evolution Meeting, unlocks at Collector Level 32.
- Extra Menu No. 41, Collection: Audi, unlocks at Collector Level 42.
- New character conversations were added.
The update also added a Nissan Museum entry.
Which cars received engine swaps?
Update 1.52 expanded engine swaps for eligible cars, including the Toyota Hiace Van DX ’16 as well as Roadster, Lancer, GTO, Silvia, and Toyota 86 models. The official notice says engine swaps unlock at Collector Level 50. Eligibility varies by car; the notice’s full list is the reference for individual combinations: Update Notice (1.52).

What changed for Sophy and Scapes?
Gran Turismo Sophy support expanded to the Brands Hatch GP and Dragon Trail Seaside layouts. Sophy mode is available only on PS5. Gran Turismo 7 itself is offered for both PS5 and PS4, according to the official product page; that broader platform availability does not extend Sophy mode to PS4.
For Scapes, Chicago was added as a featured curation.

What physics and controller changes were included?
The release notes describe adjustments to the vehicle simulation intended to address front lift during cornering and oversteer during braking. They also say ABS turning brake assist was linked to applied brake pressure. These are descriptions of the changes in the patch notes, not independent measurements of their effect in play.
Fanatec Podium Auto Setup was changed for Torque mode. The notice directs Low Torque users to Custom Setup. This is steering-wheel setup guidance, not a requirement to install or access the update.
What other track change did the patch make?
The pit-entry paint at Eiger Nordwand Reverse was extended.
