Metacritic’s critic and user aggregates were also categorized as Mixed or Average. These figures were captured on October 8, 2026, and can change.
What do the current reviews say?
The review picture depends on the platform and the period being measured. Steam’s all-time category reflects its accumulated recommendations; its recent-review category covers a smaller, more recent group. Metacritic reports separate critic and user aggregates on a different scale.

Steam percentages represent positive recommendations among Steam reviews, while Metacritic scores use its own 0–100 scoring aggregates. They describe different samples and methods, so they should not be read as directly comparable verdicts. Neither platform’s figures are a representative poll of everyone who bought the game. Did the game launch on the same date everywhere?
No. The official Steam Community announcement said the full release would arrive on Steam on March 10, 2026, and on consoles on March 12, 2026. The March 10 launch post confirmed that the full game was then available on Steam. The different dates matter when interpreting “launched” in a headline: the PC and console releases were two days apart.

What did the developers say about fixes?
In its March 10 launch announcement, the official GreedFall community account said: “We’ll continue monitoring the game across all our platforms. If you encounter any issues, please let us know; we’ll be pushing out bug-fixing patches as needed.” The announcement archive also lists later posts for Patch 1.1 on March 19 and Patch 1.2 on April 27. This confirms post-launch patch activity, but does not establish that every issue was fixed or describe the current technical state on each platform. See the official announcement archive.

The available scores point to a divided reception rather than a clear consensus. If you are deciding whether to play, treat Steam’s all-time Mixed label as a broad snapshot of its user-review history and its recent Mostly Negative label as a warning that the latest feedback in that sample is weaker. Metacritic’s Mixed or Average labels add another qualified signal, not a substitute for platform-specific feedback: no comparable review breakdown for PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S is established here.

Because review counts and labels are time-sensitive, check the store or review page for your platform before deciding. Steam’s figures only describe Steam reviews; they should not be assumed to represent console players.
