Milkweed Tufts come from Milkweed Pods, which grow at the base of milkweed plants. For a focused gathering trip, search along the rope fence between Snackbar Front and Picnic Table; a guide reports six plants there. Bring an Omni-Axe II, and use a bow to knock down pods that are too high to chop.

Where to find Milkweed Pods in Grounded 2

Look at the base of milkweed plants for the pods. The plants are identifiable by their large leaves and purple flower heads. The tuft comes from chopping a pod, not from interacting with the flower. The Grounded Wiki’s Milkweed Tuft listing names these broad search areas:

  • Croquet Court
  • Entrance Area
  • Greenhouse Surroundings
  • Ice Cream Cart Surroundings
  • Pumpkin Patch
  • Snackbar Front Area
  • Veggie Garden

A concentrated milkweed route

For a more targeted search, check the rope-fence border between Snackbar Front and Picnic Table. PC Gamer’s August 6, 2025 guide reports six milkweed plants in this cluster. It describes the plants as tall and yellow, with several pods along each stem. Treat this as a reported gathering spot rather than a guarantee that every pod remains available after game updates.

If you are already exploring, the broader named areas provide alternatives to detouring to the fence. A location database lists 47 Milkweed Pod positions, but that is its count at access, not an official fixed total or a patch-verified promise of current spawns: Grounded2.th.gl’s guide database.

How to harvest Milkweed Tufts

  1. Bring an Omni-Axe II. The Grounded Wiki specifies a Tier 2 Omni-Axe, and PC Gamer likewise says to chop pods with an Omni-Axe II.
  2. Find a pod at the base of a milkweed plant. Look among the large leaves beneath the purple flower head.
  3. Knock down high pods with a bow. If a pod is out of axe range, shoot it down first, as PC Gamer recommends.
  4. Chop the fallen pod. PC Gamer reports that a pod yields multiple Milkweed Chunks and one or two Milkweed Tufts.

Which area should you search?

Approach What to expect Best when
Explore the named regions The Grounded Wiki lists seven broad areas; it does not provide a route time or a complete coordinate set in this listing. You are already moving through Croquet Court, the Entrance Area, Greenhouse Surroundings, Ice Cream Cart Surroundings, Pumpkin Patch, Snackbar Front Area, or Veggie Garden.
Check the rope-fence cluster PC Gamer reports six plants on the boundary between Snackbar Front and Picnic Table; this is a guide-described cluster, not a full-map count. You want a concentrated search and are near that border.
