The Zen Update was a limited-time Grow a Garden event documented from July 19 to August 2, 2025. Its core loop centered on Tranquil fruit: submit it to the Zen Channeller to advance the seven-stage Zen Tree, or trade it to Tanuki for Chi to spend in the Zen Shop. The latest located event calendar, updated June 22, 2026, marks the event ended; whether it has returned since then is unverified, so check the live game before looking for its mechanics or shop.
What was the Zen Update?
Version 1.15.0 was announced on July 19, 2025. The update brought a Zen-themed event, a new shop, garden save slots, seeds, pets, gear, cosmetics, mutation items, and quality-of-life changes. The event reference dates its run from July 19 through August 2, 2025. The 1.15.0 update log and Zen Event reference describe the event and its systems.
Zen-themed rewards
Named plants included Maple Apple, Spiked Mango, Hinomai, Soft Sunshine, Zen Rocks, Zenflare, Taro Flower, Serenity, and Monoblooma. The update also featured Shiba Inu, Nihonzaru, Tanuki, Tanchozuru, Kappa, and Kitsune pets, plus Zen Seed Packs, Zen Eggs, Zen Crates, Zen Gnome Crates, and a Tranquil Pet Mutation Shard. These names describe the update’s reward pool, not a guarantee that every item was available through the same activity or remains obtainable now.
How the Tranquil event loop worked
Zen Aura periods occurred hourly and lasted ten minutes, according to the event reference. During the event, fruit in players’ gardens could become Tranquil. Those crops were the input for two separate progression paths:

- Zen Tree: submit Tranquil fruit to the Zen Channeller. The tree had seven stages, and progressing it unlocked more of the Zen Shop.
- Chi: exchange Tranquil fruit with Tanuki. Spend the resulting Chi on purchases in the Zen Shop.
The choice depended on the goal: use the Channeller to advance tree stages and shop access, or Tanuki to obtain the event currency for purchases. The event reference documents both routes; it does not establish a universal exchange value for each fruit.
How to get Hinomai seeds
A PC Gamer guide published July 31, 2025 reported a 4.5% chance of Hinomai seeds from either a standard Zen Seed Pack or an Exotic Zen Seed Pack. Those are reported odds, not a guarantee that a pack will produce Hinomai. The same guide listed a standard pack at 12 Chi from Tanuki and an Exotic pack at 199 Robux. These are contemporaneous 2025 details, not current shop availability or pricing.
