As of October 8, 2026, Rockstar lists Grand Theft Auto VI for November 19, 2026, and Take-Two’s release schedule gives the same date for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. The website discrepancy that prompted delay fears was reported in November 2025; it was not an announcement that the release date had changed.
What prompted the GTA 6 delay speculation?
On November 2, 2025, fans noticed that the release date was no longer visible on Rockstar’s general landing page, while it remained on the dedicated GTA VI page. ScreenRant reported the discrepancy and the resulting fan concern. That report documented speculation about the page difference, not confirmation from Rockstar of another delay. What is GTA 6’s current release date?
Rockstar announced on November 6, 2025 that Grand Theft Auto VI would release on Thursday, November 19, 2026. The studio apologized for extending the wait and said the additional months would allow it to finish the game to the level of polish players expect. Rockstar’s release-date announcement is the primary source for that date and explanation.
On October 8, 2026, Rockstar’s dedicated game page and store still listed November 19, 2026. Take-Two’s fiscal first-quarter 2027 release schedule likewise listed that date for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar’s GTA VI page, Rockstar’s store listing and Take-Two’s release schedule are the current listings checked for this article.

Did Rockstar remove the release date?
The November 2025 report described a difference between two pages: the date was absent from Rockstar’s main landing page but still shown on the dedicated GTA VI page. A change in what appears on a landing page can prompt questions, but by itself it does not establish that a game’s release date has moved. Rockstar’s subsequent announcement set the November 19, 2026 date, and the official listings checked on October 8, 2026 continued to show it.
Is GTA 6 delayed again?
There is no new delay announcement in the cited official listings. They identify November 19, 2026 as the current announced date, not a guarantee that the schedule cannot change later. For an up-to-date status, give more weight to Rockstar’s game page and store and Take-Two’s release schedule than to speculation prompted by a website layout.
