Why did a retailer suggest GTA 6 could cost €199.99?
GamesRadar reported five Fnac product entries for GTA VI, labeled RS1 through RS5, at €89.99, €99.99, €109.99, €119.99 and €199.99. The listings appeared before preorder pricing was announced and were explicitly treated as unconfirmed. They were early retailer placeholders, not proof that any edition would sell for €199.99. GamesRadar’s report is the source of the speculation.

What are the announced GTA 6 prices?
On June 24, 2026, Take-Two announced U.S. prices of $79.99 for the Standard Edition and $99.99 for the Ultimate Edition. The publisher also announced a November 19, 2026 launch for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. These are U.S. prices; the available information does not provide a complete official price list for every country, currency or seller. Take-Two’s announcement is the controlling source for those U.S. prices and date.

What does the Ultimate Edition add?
Take-Two describes the Ultimate Edition as adding an exclusive collection of premium vehicles, weapons and apparel, plus action threaded through Jason and Lucia’s story. The publisher’s description does not, by itself, establish an independent assessment of the extra content’s value or provide an exhaustive item-by-item comparison. Does the physical version include a disc?
No. Rockstar says the boxed version contains a code to redeem for the digital download, rather than a game disc. The publisher says this version is offered to support preload beginning November 12, 2026; digital preorders are also scheduled to preload from that date. What preorder bonuses were announced?
Take-Two says preorders and purchases made before November 20, 2026 include the Vintage Vice City Pack, and that digital preorders include one free month of GTA+. How to compare GTA 6 prices before buying
- Check the platform and region on the listing; a U.S. dollar price and a euro storefront price are not interchangeable.
- Confirm that the edition is Standard or Ultimate and compare the publisher-described included content.
- If buying boxed, make sure you are comfortable receiving a download code rather than a disc.
- Review the price and preorder terms on the specific retailer or platform storefront immediately before purchase.
Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick told PC Gamer, “Our goal is not to maximize price.” He also called GTA 6 “an incredible bargain as experiences go,” describing the company’s view of the game’s value; that is his opinion, not an independently established value comparison. PC Gamer’s report.
