At WebX 2024, Galaxy Girl Interactive (GGI) presented a portfolio of Web3 games and described an approach combining gaming infrastructure, publishing and distribution, incubation, and content strategy. Its announcement named MetaCene and SimDunk, but it does not establish their current availability or prove that GGI led or transformed the Web3 gaming market.
What is GGI Galaxy Girl Interactive?
GGI stands for Galaxy Girl Interactive. In its August 2024 announcement, the company described GGI as a group associated with Yeeha! Games and MixMarvel, bringing together infrastructure and platform work, investment, incubation, and game distribution and publishing. These are the company’s descriptions of its organization and role, not independently verified assessments of its market position.
The announcement framed Yeeha! Games’ “Troika” as three connected parts: gaming infrastructure, game distribution and publishing, and content strategy. It named Island3 Bridge and Yeeha! Middleware under infrastructure, and said the broader approach was intended to help onboard a range of Web3 games. The release did not provide an independent evaluation of whether this framework resolved the industry’s challenges.
What did GGI announce at WebX 2024?
GGI said it participated in WebX events and presented its latest portfolio of Web3 games. The release also mentioned cooperation with 0x Consulting Group, OKCoin, ACG World, and Gate Venture, but did not explain the scope or commercial terms of those relationships.

What are MetaCene and SimDunk?
The announcement presented MetaCene and SimDunk as distinct examples from GGI’s portfolio. Its descriptions and timing statements were:

| SimDunk | A fast-paced 3v3 cyberpunk basketball game | Described as preparing a September 2024 Pioneer Test, with early-access invitations and campaigns on Yeeha! Quest. |
Those timing statements were plans or expectations made in August 2024, not evidence of what happened afterward. The announcement does not establish either game’s present-day release or access status, nor does it provide enough information to compare their platforms, gameplay quality, prices, or technical requirements.
What was GGI’s stated view of Web3 gaming?
The release attributed this statement to Nancy, identified as Yeeha! Games CEO and a GGI co-founder: “Web3 aims not to disrupt the Web2 model but to enhance and advance it.” The source gives no surname, so the attribution can be made only to Nancy as identified there. It is a company-supplied quotation, not independent evidence that the approach has succeeded.

What the announcement does—and does not—establish
The available accounts are republications of the same company announcement, not separate reporting or independent corroboration. They establish what GGI said about its WebX participation, games, portfolio, and strategy. They do not establish independent market leadership, the group’s current organizational structure, the games’ present availability, or the terms of any partner relationship.
The announcement was republished by StreetInsider’s Business Wire feed on August 30, 2024; Metaverse Post also carried the announcement. Both are useful for checking the historical claims and attribution, but neither supplies independent confirmation of current game status.
