Grand Theft Auto VI is currently announced for November 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick tied that launch to the company’s fiscal 2027 outlook. Rockstar released Trailer 2 in May 2025, when the game was slated for May 26, 2026; that earlier date has since been replaced. No date for another trailer has been announced in the available official updates.

Why does Trailer 2 show a different date?
When Rockstar released Trailer 2 on May 6, 2025, it announced a May 26, 2026 target for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Take-Two later announced a move to November 19, 2026, in its November 6, 2025 fiscal second-quarter release. Trailer 2 coverage and captions that show May 26 reflect the earlier schedule, not the current announced date. Rockstar’s Trailer 2 announcement preserves the original date; Take-Two’s November 2025 release records the change.
What did Take-Two’s CEO say about GTA 6 timing?
In Take-Two’s May 21, 2026 fiscal 2026 results release, CEO Strauss Zelnick said the company expected fiscal 2027 to set new records for operating performance, “driven by the November 19th launch” of GTA VI, alongside execution across its portfolio. The comment connects the announced game date to Take-Two’s business outlook; it does not provide a separate release window or promise that the schedule cannot change. Read Take-Two’s results release.

Is there a new GTA 6 trailer date?
No future trailer date is established in the official announcements cited here. Rockstar published Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look on August 6, 2026. TechRadar reported on August 11 that Zelnick described the timed Netflix-exclusive premiere of that Extended Look as part of Rockstar Games’ marketing strategy. That remark concerns the placement of a specific promotional video; it is not an announcement of a trailer schedule. Rockstar’s Extended Look and TechRadar’s report do not establish when another trailer will appear.
