Rockstar released Grand Theft Auto VI Trailer 2 on May 6, 2025. It names Jason and Lucia as the central pair and confirms the broad setup: an easy score goes wrong, drawing them into a criminal conspiracy across Leonida. Rockstar’s official media catalog gives their full names as Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, but the available official descriptions do not establish detailed biographies.
What Trailer 2 confirms about Jason and Lucia
Rockstar’s Trailer 2 page says Jason and Lucia have long known the odds are against them. After an easy score goes wrong, they find themselves caught in a criminal conspiracy stretching across Leonida and are forced to rely on each other to survive.

Rockstar’s official video catalog labels character clips “Jason Duval” and “Lucia Caminos,” establishing the protagonists’ full names. Those labels do not, by themselves, confirm their occupations, histories, or the details of their relationship.
The story setup
The confirmed premise is deliberately broad: a criminal job goes wrong, the consequences reach across the fictional state of Leonida, and Jason and Lucia must depend on one another. The trailer page does not identify the conspiracy’s organizers, explain the score, or spell out how the pair became involved.

What the footage does—and does not—establish
Take-Two Interactive’s May 6, 2025 announcement states, “All trailer footage was captured on PlayStation 5.” This identifies the platform used to capture the footage; it does not say that every shot is unedited gameplay or provide a complete account of how the trailer was produced.
Images can suggest settings, encounters, or character dynamics, but a visual implication is not the same as confirmed backstory. Rockstar’s accompanying written premise and character labels are the firm basis for what can be stated here; details beyond them should be treated as unconfirmed unless Rockstar establishes them elsewhere.

Trailer 2’s date and GTA 6’s current release listing
Trailer 2 is dated May 6, 2025, on Rockstar’s official trailer page. The release date has since changed from the plan announced alongside it:
| Official information | Date and platforms | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Take-Two/Rockstar announcement, May 6, 2025 | May 26, 2026; PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S | The launch plan stated in that 2025 announcement, not the current date listing. |
| Rockstar’s current GTA VI page | November 19, 2026; PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S | The release date and platforms currently listed by Rockstar. The page also marks PS5 “Plays Best On.” |
The current official listing names PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. It does not establish PC availability, so a PC release date should not be inferred from that page.
