Money Fronts is a GTA Online update released on June 17, 2025. To begin its laundering operation, buy the Hands On Car Wash; it is the required hub before you can purchase Higgins Helitours or Smoke on the Water. How do I start the Money Fronts business?
Purchase the Hands On Car Wash first. Rockstar describes it as the operation’s central hub and makes it a prerequisite for expanding to either Higgins Helitours or Smoke on the Water. The update was released June 17, 2025, according to Rockstar’s launch announcement.

Once the Car Wash is yours, you can launch money-laundering work from its computer or call Raf, a new contact available in Freemode. The Car Wash also has a safe that accumulates passive income over time. Rockstar says the income increases with the number of different businesses you own, including businesses introduced before Money Fronts; the official notes do not specify a rate or cap.
What does the Hands On Car Wash do?
- It is the required hub for expanding into the other two Money Fronts.
- Its safe generates passive income over time, with the amount affected by the number of different businesses you own.
- It gives a bonus to Counterfeit Cash Factory sell missions.
- Washing your personal vehicles there is free.
How do I lower Heat in Money Fronts?
Heat is tied to the business where you perform the associated work: completing laundering work adds Heat to that business, and working for Mr. Faber adds Heat to the respective business. Rockstar’s title update notes say that legitimate business work clears it. This creates a management loop: use the fronts for laundering or Mr. Faber work, then complete legitimate work for the affected operation to reduce its Heat. Rockstar does not state exact Heat thresholds, accumulation rates, or an optimal mission rotation in the cited notes.

Which Money Fronts business should I buy?
For a practical choice, match the front’s stated bonus to the existing operation you want to support. The Car Wash is not an optional alternative to the other two: you need it to unlock them. Rockstar’s notes describe bonus categories, but do not establish current property prices, exact earnings, or a defensible profitability ranking.

- Ammunition used in Survivals is restocked when you return to Freemode.
