The PC Game Pass version named in the announcement was GTAV Enhanced. Xbox highlighted features including Hao’s Special Works vehicles and modifications, plus Chameleon Paints. It also called out the then-current Oscar Guzman Flies Again update, with McKenzie Field Hangar activity in Grapeseed, arms-trafficking missions, and new aircraft. Those are details from the 2025 announcement, not confirmation of the game’s current live content or catalog status.

Xbox’s April 7, 2026 Game Pass catalog update listed Grand Theft Auto V under “Leaving April 15,” across Cloud, Console, and PC. Xbox said members could save up to 20% on purchasing games leaving the library. That notice establishes a removal date of April 15, 2026; it does not say whether the game subsequently returned. The announcements cited here therefore cannot confirm availability as of October 2026. Check the catalog for your region and plan before subscribing or downloading.

Which version should you and your friends use?
For GTA Online, Xbox cautioned players to use the same edition as their friends to squad up. “PC Enhanced” and the console editions are not interchangeable labels: identify the edition each person is launching before planning a session.
In the 2025 announcement, Xbox said Game Pass Ultimate and Standard players had access to the console and PC editions, while PC Game Pass players could download both PC editions. Xbox also said PC players could join friends playing through Steam or Epic Games, provided they used the same edition. These are announcement-era entitlement and compatibility details; confirm current access and the installed edition in the Xbox app or game launcher.
